"Cindy!" He called, immediately getting up from the couch and approaching Cindy.

He pressed near the head of the bed to call the nurse and doctor and then he sat on the bed, Mike holding Cindy's hand and touching her face. "How do you feel?" He asks.

Cindy could see the worry in Mike's eyes.

"I'm fine. Where am I?" Cindy asked.

"Are you in the hospital," Mike replied.

Cindy suddenly remembered what happened the day before. Now she's still a bit scared.

Mike read Cindy's mind, he said. "It's okay honey, you're safe now." Mike tries to reassure Cindy. "I asked the police to arrest Linda."

"It's not serious. You don't have to." Cindy said.

"She almost took your life, why do you say it's not serious?"
