CHAPTER 7 ~ THE ACCIDENT

 “Not a smart idea to argue sweetheart, see you in twenty,” Michael said and hung up on me before I could say anything. I looked at my phone surprised, I can't deny I like it when Michael calls me those pet names when he asserts his dominance. I sigh, I decided to get up and dress in black skinny jeans, a red sweater, and put my shoes on my feet. I grabbed my side purse and put it sideways on my neck and phone and made my way into the Lounge. Cindy has a friend from work over and they are laughing over something, whilst drinking wine.

“Cass?” Cindy said her friend Logan Looked at me and I didn’t miss how his eyes linger.

“I'm just going out for a while,” I said.

“Huh, where to, with who?’ Cindy asked, giving me the third degree.
