Cassandra wakes in a panic, a bad dream, she always has them when she's stressed out or getting sick. She is disorientated and doesn't know where she is, she's never seen this room before. Michael is on alert and wakes by the sound of Cassandra crying out, he rushes in instantly and sees Cassandra sitting up in bed struggling for breath, she's sweaty and Michael can tell she's had a bad dream.
Cassandra relaxes a little when she sees Michael barge into the room, of course, she's at Michael’s, she tries her hardest to calm herself down.
“Cassandra, hey, sweetheart you're okay,” Michael says worriedly.
He's over at Cassandra’s side in an instant, wiping her sweaty fringe off her forehead.
~ AUTHOR’S POINT OF VIEW~Cassandra feels like a ton of bricks has fallen on top of her when she and Michael enter her apartment just after lunch. Cindy approaches her instantly, checking Cassandra over for any sign of anything untoward. Cassandra wakes up cold and alone, she looks at the clock and it reads midnight. Cassandra was hoping Michael would stay the night with her. She remembers how Michael made her feel, how amazing she felt in Michael’s arms, his touch like fire. Cassandra doesn't think before she’s pulling up Michael’s contact in her phone and pressing the call button.“Cassandra?” Michael answers on the first ring, Wherever Michael is it's loud and she can hear music and voices in the background.“Hi,” Cassandra says sheepishly, feeling silly for calling Michael.“What's wrong Angel,” Michael asks as he moves somewhere quieter to talk.“Nothing, Sorry, I just woke up and you were gone,” Michael says.
“Darling?” Michael answers the phone, he sounds puffed. “Michael, um, you busy?” Cassandra asks nervously, biting her lip. “Never busy for you little one, What's up,” Michael says. “Well, I kind of can’t leave my apartment,” Cassandra says as she looks out the front doors of reception. “What do you mean?” Michael asks, confused. “Well there is a mob of photographers outside and I can't get through,” Cassandra says. “Shit, are you inside? are you safe?” Michael asks, panicked. “Yeah but, I'm late for work and I need to leave,” Cassandra says. “I'm coming, sit tight,” Michael says.
Cassandra wakes a few times during the night, she can’t sleep, even though her body is completely exhausted, she just can’t sleep. She knows she’s coming down with something, she’s worried about work and Michael being so cold towards her and not telling her more about this guy at the door tonight.Cassandra rolls over and faces Michael, she watches him sleep, Michael is simply stunning. He’s fit, handsome, and extremely intimidating, his long lean strong body makes her feel things she’s never felt before, fire in her belly, and attraction like nothing else. She’s falling so hard for Michael. She sighs and watches Michael breathing, it’s the most vulnerable she’s ever seen Michael and she takes her time to really take in Michael’s features.At 5 am Cassandra
The next morning, Cassandra sleeps well past her alarm, her shoulder kept her awake most of the night and she only settled about 5 am.
