True face

Gia’s eyes grew bigger after hearing Augustus confession. Frederico and Josefina were also shocked to hear that. Eliana, on the other hand, was baffled to hear that. She turned and saw Augustus was coming towards her. She drew her brows together when Augustus stopped in front of her.

“What did you mean by that?” Gia questioned Augustus who stood beside Eliana and put his hand around Eliana’s shoulder.

“I like her and will marry her,” Augustus pronounced as he gazed into the eyes of Eliana who was glaring at him. Before she could speak, Augustus said, “Forgive me for confessing this late.”

Gia snickered and was going to shout at Augustus when Frederico spoke, “Your fiancée is here. Do not make a fool of ourselves. Come inside as I have something important to discuss with you.” Frederico had an exasperated expression on his face. He glared at Eliana who let go of Augustus’s hand which was around her shoulder.

“Don’t go,” Augustus whispered but Eliana did not listen to him and walked away from there. Augustus was now furious and told his father that he had some urgent work to complete.

“Do your urgent works later and don’t take road side woman to the company,” Frederico pronounced. Augustus looked at his in bafflement. What could he expect from his father?!

“Do you want to show the employees of the company how stubborn is their CEO and how much shameless he can turn in front of his parents?!” Frederico bitterly stated.

Augustus did not speak anything and walked towards his cabinet while his parents and fiancée followed him up. Inside the cabinet, they all took seats on the sofa. Augustus asked his father about the important matter he wanted to discuss with him.

“Next week you are getting married. 30% shares of this company will go to Miss Toscano as soon as she will get married to you,” Frederico announced.

“What?” Augustus exclaimed. “I am not getting married to her. I do not love her and if you try to force me I will expose your mistress affair thing in front of the world,” Augustus threatened his father.

“Augustus!” Frederico bellowed at him.

“Do not shout at me. You are not the owner of this company. Better get out of here else I will call the security to throw you all out from here,” Augustus proclaimed. His nostrils flared in anger and he clenched his fists tightly.

“Darling, can you see how shameless is your son is! I told you not to blindly trust at him and see how he is treating you. I can bear my insult but I can’t bear the insult of my husband,” Josefina shed the fake tears and started crying.

Augustus chuckled and said, “Stop shedding these crocodile tears. I will not keep quiet anymore. I will tell the world how you killed my mother and tortured me. You should be that I am still bearing your sight in front of me. You despicable woman!”

Frederico lost his temper and shouted at Augustus. “Stop now! Do not bring the dead person in this conversation. And apologize to your mother, right now,” Frederico was boiling with anger.

“Apologize to her?! Not possible in this birth. I wonder how could she sit in front of me even after hearing such sweet words from my mouth,” Augustus pronounced, looking at Josefina. “You two did adultery still,  portraying yourself as the perfect definition of couple in front of the world,” Augustus remarked.

Josefina could not take that any longer. She stood up from the sofa, came towards Augustus and was almost going to slap him when he caught her hand. He stood up and pushed her away.

“Don’t even try that. I am not a teenage child anymore who will bear your beatings. If you don’t want to get embarrassed in front of the world then, tell your husband not to intervene in my life and not to tell me what shall I do and what shall I not do. I am breaking this engagement here and if you two tried forcing me, I swear, I will expose your true face in front of the world.” Augustus went to his desk and rang the bell several times.

Luca came there and greeted Frederico and the others. “Throw them out from here,” Augustus pronounced. Luca gulped seeing the anger of Augustus. Frederico stood up from the sofa and walked out from there.

Gia did not go from there as she wanted to converse with Augustus. He could not break the engagement like that. “Miss Toscano, please this way,” Luca humbly said when Gia told him that she would not leave.

“Gia, leave! I told you earlier too that I do not love you. I engaged to you because I wanted this company,” Augustus asserted. Gia’s eyes turned misty.

“I love you a-and…”

Augustus cut her words in the middle. “But I never loved you nor will I. I don’t see you as a woman so, please leave,” Augustus repeated his words. Tears rolled down Gia’s cheeks and ran out from there. Luca looked at Augustus who had turned to his desk and turned it around.

Everything fell on the floor with a loud voice. Luca saw Augustus was losing his temper so, he went to him and tried calming him down. But Augustus pushed him away and went to the left side of his office. He picked the flower vase in his hand and smashed it at the marble floor. “I want to kill them so badly. They murdered my mother,” Augustus cried out. His right hand was bleeding as it got a cut while he was throwing the things in the office. The blood was dripping from it which tensed Luca.

Luckily, the office was sound proof so whatever was happening, was only inside those walls.

Luca went towards Augustus and brought him towards the sofa. Making his boss sit on the sofa, Luca went towards the end table and brought out a first aid kit.

He sat beside Augustus who had rested his head on the sofa. Luca quickly took out a cotton bud dipped in disinfectant and cleaned the wound on Augustus’s hand. “Sir, you shall not get angry like this,” Luca said. He put the bandage around Augustus’s hand and then closed the first aid kit. Pouring the water in a glass, he forwarded it to Augustus and told him to drink that.

Augustus opened his eyes and took the glass of water from him. Drinking the water, he told Luca to get his office clean and postpone his day’s schedule. Luca nodded his head in agreement.

“I want you to do one more thing for me. Extract every single information about Eliana Russo. I don’t want to listen to any excuse because it is about my life,” Augustus pronounced.
