This was unexpected

Augustus pushed Gia away. He was shooting glares at her but could not say anything. Soon they reached the ground floor. The two stepped out of the elevator as a car was already waiting for them. “You have already prepared everything,” Augustus stated.

“Indeed. Get in,” Gia stated and opened the door for herself while Augustus got into the car from the other side. Gia told the driver to the drive the car to the said address. Augustus called Luca and told him to leave for his home. He disconnected the call and looked outside the window.

“Augustus, when do you think we shall get marry?” Gia’s sudden question brought Augustus out of his thoughts.

“I don’t think I am ready to get married,” Augustus plain reply made Gia chuckle.

“I have been listening to this for two years. We two know each other from the childhood days. Yet, you want more time to be comfortable around me,” Gia remarked and searched for an answer in Augustus’s eyes.

“But it doesn’t mean that you know me personally. You also know that I do not love you. You also know that why I engaged to you- not because I love you but because I wanted to be the CEO,” Augustus bitter words pricked Gia but she did not want to ruin her mood.

There was a pin drop silence between the two and soon they reached the club. They both got down the car when Gia put her arm around Augustus’s. “We are the star couples of today,” Gia reminded Augustus who snickered and averted his gaze from her.

The two walked in. Augustus never liked the club parties but because Gia forced her to come there, he had to act as if he was enjoying the party too.

Gia had the gift already with her. Augustus found how she was lying to him earlier about buying no gift. “Lorenzo,” Gia called out her friend’s name who was drinking with his friends who had surrounded him.

Upon hearing Gia’s voice, Lorenzo turned to look and a smile formed on his lips. He came forward when Gia wished him a Happy Birthday. She left Augustus’s arm who felt relaxed. “I hope I am not late, Lorenzo. This if for you from me and my fiancé’s behalf.”

Gia handed a gift bag to Lorenzo who thanked her and then looked at Augustus. “It is nice to meet you, Mr. Ferrari. I am Lorenzo Bianco. Thank you for coming to this birthday party.” Lorenzo forwarded his hand to shook hands with Augustus but he did not forward his hand. Gia clenched her fist seeing how Augustus was acting up.

Lorenzo pulled his hand back and called a waiter there. “Mr. Ferrari have this whiskey for our first meet,” Lorenzo stated as he handed the whiskey glass to Augustus who thanked him and drank the whiskey in a go. “Thank you Mr. Bianco,” Augustus replied and put the whiskey glass on a table there.

“Guys, it is time to cut the cake,” Aurora said loud enough. A giant cake was brought there which was cut by Lorenzo. The loud background music was giving headache to Augustus but he could not leave thar place either. He found Gia was enjoying with them, so he took a seat near the counter and told the bartender to make a few drinks for him.

Taking his mobile out, he asked Luca to send the details to him. A minute later, he had all the information regarding Eliana. “Her condition is indeed miserable. Miss Russo, I will soon get back to you,” Augustus thought in his mind when a drink was put in front of him. He grabbed the glass and drank the cocktail.

Gia and others went to the pool side to enjoy the pool party. “Gia, your fiancé does not seem to enjoy this party,” Aurora said while looking at Augustus who was seated on the counter stool with his back towards them.

“Augustus hardly get time for such things. Don’t mind him. He is handling such a big company so remain busy in that,” Gia asserted.

“You shall tell him to come here and enjoy with us,” Lorenzo stated. “Don’t mind me but your fiancé seemed arrogant to me,” Lorenzo pronounced.

“Yeah, I felt the same. Are you sure Gia he likes you? What I mean is your fiancé does not care about you and people around you,” Marco stated.

Gia was outraged by hearing all that. She had told Augustus not to act arrogantly but he did not listen to her. Wearing a smile on her lips she said, “Guys, I will clear your doubts right away. Augustus is not like the person you all are thinking. In fact he is the most caring person. It is just he is always busy in work and such social gatherings aren’t his cup of tea,” Gia coveted up Augustus’s fault which her friends pointed out.

Gia walked towards Augustus, crossing the pool platform when she was hit by someone and drinks fell on her dress. She was shocked to see that when Lorenzo and others ran towards her.

“Are you blind?” Gia bellowed at the waitress who was none other than Eliana. She had fallen on the floor and swiftly stood up.

“Please forgive me,” Eliana apologized and took out a napkin to wipe Gia’s dress when pushed Eliana away.

“How dare you to touch me? You destroyed my entire dress,” Gia shouted at Eliana. She was infuriated already by Augustus’s behavior and now this waitress ruined her entire mood. “You low headed! Don’t you know where to walk and where not to?” Gia cried out.

“Gia leave it. Come with me,” Lorenzo tried calming her down but Gia did not listen to him.

“Lorenzo, such petty people needed to be taught a lesson. Do you even know how much my dress worth? Where is the manager of this club?” Gia’s anger reached the sky.

“Ma’am, it was a mistake and I apologized to you for that. I will compensate you so you do not need to title me as a low head or petty,” Eliana affirmed.

“What? A mistake?” Gia muttered. The manager also showed his presence there when Gia told him to fire Eliana.

“Ma’am, you are firing me for no reason! I already apologized to you then why are you dragging it?” Eliana tried defending her job.

“Hey, look to whom you are speaking! You made a mistake but still you are portraying yourself as a victim here. Even if you will work for a year, you would not be able to pay for this dress,” Aurora announced.

“Who are you to judge like this? I am capable enough to compensate. Sir, I apologized to them and I am ready to compensate too so, please don’t listen to them,” Eliana requested her manager.

“This arrogance isn’t called an apology,” Gia stated and went to a waiter there who had stopped at his place after the chaos. She picked the champagne glass and brought it towards Eliana. “Firstly, you need to learn some manners and secondly, you need to know what it truly means to feel guilty,” saying this Gia poured the champagne over Eliana’s head.

Everyone there was shocked to see that. Gia threw the glass on the floor and it broke into pieces. “If you do not want to lose this job then get on your knees and apologize to me this instant,” Gia told Eliana and then looked at the manager of the club.

“Tell this waitress to apologize to me else this club will shut down after ten minutes,” Gia threatened the manager. “Didn’t you hear me? I am Gia Toscano. Defy my orders and you have to get punished,” Gia pronounced. The manager gulped and turned to Eliana.

Augustus who was dissolved in his own thoughts upon hearing the shouts of Gia chuckled. A man beside Augustus said, “Gia will not spare that waitress. She should apologize instead of showing her attitude.”

“She even started here! This is why she gives me disgusting feeling,” Augustus murmured and got up from the counter stool. He ran his fingers through his hair and walked towards the pool where Gia was creating a scene.

He stopped as he saw Eliana there and a smile appeared on his lips. But the he heard something which irked him.

“Get on your knees and apologize to her, please,” the manager whispered but his words wee audible.

Eliana had no choice because she could not let other suffer because of her. She stepped back and got down on her knees. Gia smirked seeing that. “Now apologize. A sincere apologies all I need from a pathetic woman like you,” Gia proclaimed.

Eliana gulped the anger inside her and lowered her head when she was pulled up by someone. This bewildered her and she looked at the person whose one hand was on her waist while the other was on her arm.

“This was unexpected,” Augustus remarked and gave white teeth smile to Eliana.
