Chapter Six

Her day had been long and her toes hurt badly, she stared at the manager her eyes slightly pleasing for him to let her rest just for a minute.

Champagne had never work this hard in her life, her toes curled inside her shoes. She felt like all of a sudden her flats were on fire.

And most of all her mind kept drifting back to Nikolai's question, why didn't have to happen now.

"Here you go, Miss " She said as placed the food off the tray to the table, put her mind to it so she could not spill any.

What a day, she always had half a shift but after the pain she had experienced with Thomas and Lilly, Champagne had asked to work fulltime and she was granted it.

It was a way to ease her pain, but now that Thomas had gone how was she to react. 

All night she couldn't sleep, thinking about him. His smile and his weird jokes, she was going to miss all that.
