EVELYN'S POV

The first thing I noticed was a loud noise in my head. I squinted my eyes tight, and shook my head slowly, trying to shake the noise off, but then loud laughter came next. That was when it hit me… I was just at the circle of trees, so what happened?

My eyes fluttered instantly, and the first thing they landed on were a bunch of men drinking and eating around a fire.

“Who the fuck…” I muttered, and tried standing to my feet. That was when I realized that I'd been tied to a tree.

That was when it hit me… I was just at the circle of trees, so what happened? My eyes fluttered instantly, and the first thing they landed on were a bunch of men drinking and eating around a fire.“Who the fuck…” I muttered, and tried standing to my feet. That was when I realized that I'd been tied to a tree.“The witch is awake…” one of the men said, and an awkward silence took over the whole place.Everyone stopped what they were doing, and focused all their attention on me.I was scared to death, but now wasn't the time to show it, so I calmed myself down, and spoke with a straight face. “Let go of me now?”“Or what?” One of them muttered in a baritone voice. “You'll kill us all with your witchcraft?”“I'm not a witch,” I argued, eyes twitching as another loud ring pierced through my head. “I'm just

***SABRA***Dante stared at me for a while, went back in, and slammed the door in my face. Right! What was I expecting from the richest man in New York who was also a cold-hearted beast as the papers say? Again, I pressed the doorbell, again and again till he opened up. “What the hell do you want from me?” He asked, only then did I scan him from here to toe, he was naked, I could see through the dark that he was naked before me. “I’m…I’m Sabra,” I stammered as I swallowed hard. “I know that, and shouldn’t you be getting ready for your wedding? Tomorrow?” He asked, oh, he knew who I was. “Yes, I should, and that’s exactly what I’m doing here,” I rushed the words trying to make sense, but with the way he just stared down at me, I knew I wasn’t making any sense. “Can I at least come in, it’s freezing out here,” I asked and he just groaned and opened the door wide enough. “Help yourself, but you’ve got just ten minutes,” he said and walked away. I walked into the house and was met

***SABRA***“You can’t be serious Andre,” I stood in the parking lot of the club as I stared into my husband's face. Well, husband-to-be as he said those words, he’s always been a joker. “Well, I’m not, I feel this isn’t what I want to do right now, I feel…” he trailed off as he took his hands away from mine and turned his face to the side. My heels suddenly felt too light for my weight, and my knees wobbled. “What do you mean?” I asked as tears welled up my eyes. “I can’t do this anymore Sabra ,” he said, not even having the balls to look me in the eyes as he spilled the words. “Cold feet? That’s what it must be, Celine’s husband felt it too, right before the wedding, but he got through it, in fact, they now have 3 kids together and living their ‘happily ever after’ love story,” I tried to reach out to him, but he took a step back. “No! No Sabra , I don’t have cold feet, I don’t know no Celine, and hell, I wanna be married, just not to you, okay!” He yelled at me, I took a ste

***FIONA/CIARA***“Where did you get that?” Lucien's voice suddenly carried from behind me.I turned quickly, towards the direction his voice came from. Curling my hand around the hairpin. “It's something I lost when I was a kid,” I said. “Somehow, I found it outside this house.”“That's strange,” he muttered, moving closer to the bed. “Maybe it just looks like yours.”“It's mine,” I said sharply, before steadying my voice. “Look at this dent.” Pointing to the scratch at the base of the hair pin.He raised a brow, then sat on the bed with me. “We've both been hiding things from each other,” he said, tugging my hands. “I want us to be truthful to each other starting from now.”Silence stretched between us for a moment, as we just stared at each other without blinking.“Tell me about Fiona,” I finally said, tilting my head up. “What does she mean to you?”“She's just—”I didn't let him finish. “You want us to be truthful, you have to lead by example.”A heavy sigh tore out of him, as he

***LUCIEN***I was still in a deep conversation with Bale, when my phone suddenly buzzed in my pocket. I dipped in my hands and picked it out. That was when I discovered the disturbing video sent to me by the same unknown number I've been trying to find out.“There's something I need to take care of,” I said, rising to my feet.”“Is something wrong?” Bale asked, placing his hand on my shoulder. With one sharp look, he removed his hand instantly as he muttered, “I'm sorry.”I didn't respond. I just walked out of his house, towards my car. Getting there, I pulled the door and went in. Finally I was alone—alone to view whatever had just been sent to me.Opening the video, my chest tightened. Derrick—my beta, was tied to a tree. And a figure in black hoods was holding a knife, piercing him in multiple places as Derrick cried out in pain.My fist tightened around my phone as I watched, and just as I was about to smash the phone, my phone began to ring.I picked immediately.“If anything ha

***NEGAN*** I stood in a dark room alongside my brother's, chanting. Everyone remained hooded, and a few newbies were brought in to be initiated tonight. The chanting stopped as soon as the leader raised her hands. A deafening silence followed. “Darkseid.” The leader called out. “In darkness we are named.” Everyone chorused. “Darkseid.” “In darkness we are named.” Silence again. “Today,” the leader said , stepping forward from the circle. “We have new devotees to join our cause.” I tilted my head up, looking at the five devotees lined up outside the circle. “You may come.” The leader said, gesturing their hand towards them. They moved in uniform motion and went on their knees as soon as they were right before the leader. At the raise of the leader’s hand, five of the brother hoods filed out of the circle with daggers in their hands. “Joining this family,” the leader stated, leaning over the devotees. “You need to show that you will hold nothing back. Not even your lives.
