- Maive's POV -

This time, I saw it. A woman standing a few feet away, staring straight at me. But her eyes… they weren’t just curious. They were sharp. Confused. Almost afraid.

Her gaze dropped to my neck.

My breath caught. Instinctively, I lifted my hand and covered the right side of my neck… the place where the bite mark was.

The mark from that night.

My body froze. My heart pounded in my ears.

Had she seen it? Did she know?

Aunt Vera noticed my movement. She looked at me, her eyes dark with unspoken thoughts. She wanted to ask. I could feel it. But she said nothing.

Her silence hurt more than words.

We eventually left the market and started walking home. I helped her carry the bags, though my arms trembled from the weight. It was the least I could do.

But Aunt Vera was quiet. Too quiet. Her mind was elsewhere, and I knew it had to do with that woman’s stare… and the bite mark on my neck.

I followed in silence, afraid to ask, afraid of the answers.

Suddenly, a voice rang out. “Aun

  • CLAIMED BY DARK ALPHA   The Vampires

    - Maive's POV -The kiss did not last long when he pulled away and looked straight into my eyes. My heart still felt heavy, and I could not stop the small sobs escaping from my lips, yet I was calmer than I had been earlier. It felt as though his kiss had healed the pain buried deep inside me. Even though I was still full of confusion and doubts, the weight in my chest seemed to lessen. I did not know what to say or what to do. A part of me wanted to push him away, to scream at him for the chaos he caused in my life, but my heart would not allow it. Every beat of it belonged to him. My mind and my entire being were consumed by this man, as if even my soul responded only to his presence. When he let go of me, silence filled the space between us. My tears finally stopped falling. The fresh air that I had been desperate to breathe earlier began to soothe my chest. Maybe it was the air calming me, or maybe it was because Daxton was here, trying to mend the shattered pieces of me—pieces th

  • CLAIMED BY DARK ALPHA   The Darkness Embracing

    - Anne's POV - "Where do you think she went?" Gabriella asked worriedly."We should find her," I suggested, and she nodded. After half an hour, Maive still wasn't back. Gabriella and I started to get worried about her. We didn't know what was happening to her, but it seemed not good, especially after she saw Daxton with Yskela. I noticed that she had feelings for Daxton. Well, it was obvious but not surprising since most girls on this campus liked him. Who wouldn’t? He is Daxton Astrid, the strongest werewolf in the entire race—the Alpha King.Maive didn’t look fine when she excused herself earlier, and she looked pale.We should have gone with her, but she refused, and now here we are, worried about her whereabouts. I cannot trust this place full of different creatures we do not know. I also cannot enjoy tonight with this uneasy feeling telling me something is wrong. The atmosphere isn’t good, and my instinct never fails me. That’s why I’ve been aware and vigilant of my surroundings

  • CLAIMED BY DARK ALPHA   I Couldn't Stop

    - Maive's POV -I couldn’t say a word, not when he was looking at me like that. Those mesmerizing dark eyes, which seemed calmer, sending me sympathy and comfort, just made my tears flow again, even with him by my side right now. I wanted to ask him why he was here when his fiancée was inside at the event. I also wanted to ask him why he cared for me.I wanted to ask him why he looked sad when he was not usually like that. He was always looking arrogant and dangerous, the usual Daxton Astrid, the king of this university. However, his authoritative voice seemed to have no effect on me as I shoved his fingers away from my chin and turned aside."J-Just go," was all I could say. I couldn’t let him see how vulnerable I was. I didn’t want him to hear my voice cracking because of the shattered pieces I had within me. But does that even matter when I am here crying because I saw him with some woman, just like what he said?Damn, that was fucking embarrassing, but that is the least I could th

  • CLAIMED BY DARK ALPHA   The Bloodshot Eyes

    - Maive's POV -When the relationship of Daxton and Yskela was publicly announced, my mind was suddenly clouded. My heart was aching so badly that it was hard to breathe.I immediately reached for another glass of wine and began drinking it. I just needed to forget what I heard. I wanted to lessen the pain I was feeling right now, or I would probably start crying here in this beautiful place where I do not belong. Why do I feel hurt even though I already know the truth? Why am I feeling so devastated? Fuck.I sighed as I looked at the stage, but it just made my heart squeeze tightly. I felt like my world had broken into pieces. I should not have looked in front because the next scene I saw was Daxton and his fiancée on the stage, her hand around his arm. She was elegantly waving her other hand to the crowd with a sweet smile. I could not understand why they were in front and how they got there, but I could see them clearly, and it was breaking me apart. The sight of them made my chest

  • CLAIMED BY DARK ALPHA   Slapped By the Truth

    - Maive's POV -His eyes were crimson red, and he was burning me with his stares. He was at a distance, just straight in front of me, but I couldn’t concentrate. I didn’t even understand what my friends were talking about because of his intense gaze.Damn. I tried to look somewhere else, hoping he would stop staring at me, but when I looked at him again, he was still the same, staring intensely at me. He doesn’t know how much those stares affect my body. They’re making the butterflies in my stomach go insane. My chest was beating fast and loud. But while looking Daxton’s way, I saw a man in black coming toward him. I knew that he also sensed the footsteps of that guy, but still, his dark eyes remained on me. How come he looked so dangerous yet deadly handsome in his simple suit? Even when the guy whispered in his ear, he had no plan of breaking his intense stare at me.My heart was still beating uncontrollably. Damn, he was making me crazy. He could stare at someone else, divert his e

  • CLAIMED BY DARK ALPHA   The Fire in His Eyes

    – Maive’s POV –Tobias did fetch me, and I was actually surprised when I saw that he brought a car with him. I couldn’t help but wonder where he got this car. Perhaps it belongs to one of his friends.“What’s wrong?” I asked the moment I noticed him continuously glancing at me while he was driving. He shook his head slightly before replying, “It’s just that… you look very different today.”“Is it a good thing?” I asked with a small smile. He chuckled, the sound light and genuine. “Yeah, you’re surprisingly gorgeous.”Oh, Tobias. Behind this gorgeous appearance is an uncomfortable woman who hates every part of this outfit. I really don’t like this kind of clothing; it makes me feel uneasy and stiff.“I think it’s better to have your hair down,” he suddenly said as we were getting nearer to the university.I nodded slowly. “I thought so too.” However, as much as I want to let it fall freely, I’m afraid it will get messy, and I don’t really know how to fix it once that happens. The momen
