Mag-log inDAMON'S POV
I had watched her from afar since she entered here with her friend. Her hair, her eyes, I didn't know why her features looked unique, making her extraordinarily beautiful. I had never seen someone as beautiful as her before. Yes, I had been bedding as many women as I could, and all of them were classy and sophisticated, but this one was unique! Something popped up in my head, and I widened my eyes slightly before retrieving my phone from my pocket. I sat at the upper part of the club, where no one could see me from below, but I could see them. I was more like a vulture here. "She looks like her." A voice brought me back to reality, but I didn't need to turn to know who it was. It was my second-in-command, Darius. "She does, and it's so shocking." Staring at the picture on my phone, I pushed it back into my trousers. "I have told you about her before, remember?" Darius said, and now I understood what he meant. "But Maribeth’s eyes were blue, and her hair was black." It was as if I was telling myself rather than him. He was right, somehow. He had told me about Soraya, my stepson's wife, but I had never once listened to him. No, there was no way Maribeth was back. It was just that they had the same beautiful face, heart-shaped pink lips, and pale rose skin. "And the fool is here again and again, leaving his wife all alone." Darius turned his eyes to the ground floor, and I found myself clenching my fists around the railing. Dorian was here with that bitch. They had been coming to this club countless times, enjoying and fucking each other while his wife was at home, all alone. But today, the pain was too much when I turned to the lady who was now sitting alone on the stool. Her eyes landed on her husband, and she looked shocked and sad. Before I knew it, she was drinking. "Wait here, I’m coming." With that, I walked away, descending the stairs, leaving Darius shocked behind me. Well, this was not how Alpha-King Damon Sterling behaved. I had always been a man of standards. I never interfered in anyone’s business—especially not with women, as they threw themselves at me. But today was different. "It isn't good for a beautiful lady to drink like that," I said, already so close to her that I could smell her beautiful scent of silver rain and moonflower. My heart skipped a beat. I had never smelled something so divine. This was incredibly unique. Who was this woman? And for the first time in my life, I found myself being drawn to her. I tried to push that thought to the back of my mind. I never wanted to love again, especially not my stepson's wife. But I couldn’t stop myself. We continued for a couple of moments until I found myself saying something I never thought I would say to my supposed stepdaughter-in-law. But who would have thought that Dorian and his bitch had broken her heart? I still didn't know how they broke her, but I would make sure to find out. Dammit! I was already drawn to her! Fuck! The way she spoke, the way her unique amber eyes stared at me lazily under the influence of alcohol— I was losing it. "Do you want me to waste you?" And that was how the walls around my heart started to break, one by one. Events shifted so fast that I found myself in my private suite within the hotel, with her on my bed, which I never let anyone sleep on. And that was not enough. I wanted her not just for today but for a whole fucking year until I found out what was special about her. "Yes, I want you to waste me." "Please waste me!" Did she even know what she was saying! "You are playing with fire, little wolf." "Then let it burn me!" Her words made the papers shake in my hand, and I sighed. I knew I was doing the wrong thing. I knew I shouldn’t take advantage of her in this state. But I couldn’t stop myself. "Then sign!" I growled impatiently. She put her signature on the document before I tossed the papers onto the bedside table, focusing instead on pleasuring her. Tonight, she would forget about that bastard and focus on me. Just the thought of Dorian hurting a strand of her hair made me furious. Wait… What was wrong with me? Why was I suddenly behaving like a possessed husband to her? Pushing that infuriating thought away, I turned to her, ready to enjoy her. I swear, I would make her mine at any cost. **** SORAYA'S POV "Still thinking of Mr. Sexy?" Geraldina’s voice brought me back from my thoughts as I scooped another serving of ice cream, placing it in a cone before handing it over to her to give to a customer. "N-No! Of course not. I-It was a mistake." I blushed at her words, dropping my gaze to the ice cream bucket. I knew what I had done two days ago was unlike me. But why did it feel right? Why did I enjoy it so much? The man was too good at it. He made me feel like I was in heaven. Alpha Dorian had never made me feel like that before. Now, I wished to meet him again. What was his name again? Dammit! I couldn’t remember. And again, I had never seen someone as handsome as him. "You will keep swinging your head like that, and you’ll end up breaking it." I jumped at Geraldina’s words. "If you want, I can take you there after work today to see if you can see..." "Good afternoon, ladies." A deep, cold voice that gave me déjà vu pulled me from my thoughts, and I couldn’t breathe when my eyes landed on him. "I am Damon. I’m here for my wife, Lady Soraya." I was shocked to my bones. Even the customers in the ice cream shop owned by Geraldina, couldn’t stop stealing glances at me. At the same time, they seemed scared. As if they had seen a ghost. They were even trembling as they turned to the stranger—Mr. Sexy. He was here. And now that it wasn’t night and I wasn’t drunk… The man looked like a real devil. Or was he the devil’s son? I wasn’t sure. His height made it seem as though he was the only person in the room. "I-I am not your wife!" I gasped, shocked. But not as much as when Geraldina spoke next. "A-Alpha-King Sterling?" "What?" I blurted out in shock. H-He couldn’t be Dorian’s stepfather… right? "Nice to know that you know me. And now, if you would help guide my wife to the car, that would be appreciated." The man took Geraldina’s hand who had been staring at both of us with an annoying smile and kissed her knuckles before turning to me. "I am not your wife," I blurted out, feeling embarrassed as flashes of him between my legs replayed in my mind. "And here is your sign of agreement!" The man turned to another, a blonde-haired man behind him, who handed him a document. "Y-You made me sign those?" I couldn’t believe my fucking eyes. A one-year contract marriage? "I know, but you did it. And in exchange, you were able to..." "Please stop!" I was already beside him, too embarrassed, realizing what he was about to say. "Now, do you agree to go with me?" "B-But you are my husband’s stepfather." I murmured, playing with the hem of my apron. "And if my memory serves me right, I never had any child with Samantha named Dorian." He stopped, placing a hand on my hair. "Now, let’s go home, my little wife, or else I will have to tell everyone that I-I..." "What if I agree… with a condition?" I blurted out, shocking myself. "Which is?" "I will be your wife if you help me make Dorian and Elara crawl back to me, begging for my forgiveness for everything they did to me!" "Deal!" An evil smile played at the corner of my lips. It seemed the moon goddess was still fair to me though. "Deal!" What better revenge than marrying his stepfather?SORAYA’S POV“A disastrous moment for the Redclad Pack after a sudden and violent assault claimed the lives of ten pack members and left five critically wounded, including the pack's Beta, who is currently receiving emergency treatment....”I nearly choked on the water. It burned down my throat as my gaze jerked to the massive television bolted high on the wall of Geraldina’s ice-cream shop."You like the show?"Goddess, I had forgotten she was even there."What the hell is going on?" I slammed the glass onto the table; water splashed across the polished wood. My eyes stayed glued to the screen as I rounded on her. She had just waved off her last customer and now leaned on the counter, smirking at me like she had won the lottery."They’re finally getting what they deserve for every single thing they did to you." Geraldina scooped another generous spoonful of mint chocolate chip and popped it into her mouth, eyes glittering with malicious glee.I had dragged myself here this morning to
DORIAN’S POVThe dungeon smelled of rust, piss, and scorched flesh.I descended the stairs with deliberate steps, letting each one announce me. The rogue was already hanging when I arrived — wrists raw from silver, one eye puffed shut, lips split. Leo had done good work. Not enough to kill him. Just enough to remind him who was in charge.I stopped a few paces away and studied him like one studies vermin before crushing it.“You reek of Damon Sterling’s kennel,” I said calmly. “But even he wouldn’t be stupid enough to send someone this sloppy. So who really gave the order?”The rogue lifted his head slowly. Blood crusted the corner of his mouth. He tried to smirk anyway.“You still think this is about money or territory?” His voice was rough, amused. “You really are that fucking delusional.”I didn’t rise to the bait. I never do. People like him always think they can get under my skin with insults. They never realize I’ve already measured them for a grave.I stepped closer. “You butch
DORIAN’S POV"H-HELP!""P-please Alpha, h-help us!" "W-whats happening to us!""M-my pups, my...my pups have been slaughtered in front of my own eyes!" I watched as in completely dumbfounded at my many pack members who were losing their lives on the ground of packhouse as they bleed uncontrollably. I wanted to speak, wanted to tell them that I was here for them, that I would do anything to help them. But I couldn't. Because I was sure there was nothing I could do. There was nothing I could do to help them now that they were at the brick of death. The blood, the cries of pain, the sorrow as some of them fought to stay alive but the injuries were too much to be healed, made my heart stopped, my head dizzy and my whole body unable to move.I couldn't believe what was happening in front of me. Couldn't believe that the ambush on the packhouse, was this extremeHow couldn't I know early? This was unbelievable! The screams drilled into my skull like knives.Blood soaked the grass in d
DORIAN’S POV“Alpha! Alpha…the packhouse is under attack!”The sudden scream made me freeze in my tracks. My eyes turned sharply toward the direction of the frantic voice.“Alpha…Alpha Dorian…”“SHUT UP!” I roared, my fists clenching at my sides, my chest rising and falling heavily.“Do you even remember that I am your Alpha?” I barked. The man standing at the doorway trembled, bowing his head quickly.“A-apologies, Alpha…but the packhouse…”“Shut your mouth!” I thundered again, my voice echoing through the foyer.Inside, my heart was pounding so hard I almost forgot how to breathe.Yes, I was scared. This was bad.I stood there pretending to be calm and furious, blaming the pack members for incompetence, but it was all a mask. A thin veil to hide the fear tightening around my chest.“Lucas, where are you?” I mind-linked him immediately. I needed him here. Right now.I wanted to go and find him myself, but that was impossible. He had to come to me.“Alpha, I am at the packhouse fighti
DORIAN’S POV“E-Elara…”My voice failed me. The words tangled in my throat and refused to come out as my eyes stayed fixed on the sight before me.“It is not like this,” I tried again, my chest tightening. “You are over—”“Stop!” she cried. The sharpness in her voice cut me off completely. I froze, the rest of my words dying on my tongue.“My little pup…” Her gaze dropped to her belly, her hands shaking as she cradled it protectively. Tears slid down her cheeks, endless, as if she had an ocean hidden inside her. This woman cried as easily as breathing.“If your Alpha does not want us,” she whispered, broken, “then we should not live.”My heart slammed violently in my chest. She lifted her hand, the small shard glinting faintly. I moved before thought could catch up with fear.“Miss Elara, stop!” another voice shouted.I lunged forward, fast and reckless, grabbing her wrist and wrenching it away from her neck. The motion sent pain up my arm, but I did not loosen my grip. My pulse roare
DORIAN’S POVI never thought things would end this way when Soraya left the pack.Back then, I believed her departure would bring peace. Silence. Control. I thought the storm would follow her out of my life and leave me standing in calm air.I was wrong, I was terribly wrong.Maybe I had underestimated her. Or maybe I had underestimated myself. Either way, the cracks were spreading now, crawling through my pack, my home, my head. And if this was punishment, then it had chosen its timing well.Of all the people she could have aligned herself with, why Damon Sterling? Why that monster wearing a wolf’s skin? The thought burned through me like poison.A roar tore out of my chest before I could stop it. My foot connected with the vase beside the wall, sending it crashing to the floor. Flowers scattered, water splashing across the tiles like spilled blood.“AAAAAH!” The sound echoed, wild and ugly.“Darling… Alpha… you need to calm down.”Her voice again. Soft and shaking. I ignored it. My
