ANOKAI’S POV

Two men stepped out from the shadows—large, muscular, their faces hard and their eyes empty of anything resembling mercy. They weren’t pack guards. They weren’t anyone I recognized.

They were strangers.

And they were blocking the only exit.

Melissa stopped walking. For a long moment, she just stood there, her back to me, her shoulders rising and falling with each breath.

“Melissa?” My voice came out smaller than I intended. “What’s going on?”

She turned slowly, and the expression o

  • CLAIMED BY THE MAD ALPHA BROTHERS    THE FULL MOON(2)

NIKOLAIThe moon hit and something in me cracked open. Not broke. Cracked. Like something had been waiting underneath the whole time, patient and coiled and hungry, and the moment that light touched my skin it stopped waiting. It just started pushing. Pressing up against the inside of me like it wanted out. Like it wanted everything.Blood.The word didn’t feel like a word. It felt like a heartbeat. Like breathing. Like something so fundamental and so wrong at the same time that my whole body didn’t know what to do with it except go still and hope the stillness would be enough.Fight. Kill. Blood.I could feel my brothers. That’s the thing people never understood about us, that invisible thread running between the four of us that we’d never been able to explain and never tried to.Right now that thread was pulling tight, vibrating like a wire about to snap. Rowan had gone rigid somewhere to my left. I didn’t have to look.I could feel the way his chest had stopped moving right, the wa

ANOKAIThe woman didn’t even hesitate. She was out the door before it fully registered that they’d told her to leave. The door clicked shut, and suddenly the room felt smaller. Hotter. They were advancing on me. All four of them moving as one, closing the distance between us with purposeful strides.“What’s happening?” I asked, taking a step back. Then another. “We need to go, don’t we? The selection—”“Take off the dress.”Malachi’s voice cut through my rambling. Low. Commanding. Not a request.I blinked. “What?”“You heard him.” Rowan moved closer, his eyes dark and hungry. “Take it off.”“Are we not going?” Confusion mixed with something else. Something hot and liquid in my stomach. “I thought we were leaving now. That it’s almost time.”“It is.” Emiriel’s voice came from my left. I was surrounded now, backed against the vanity with nowhere to go. “But with that dress, with how perfect you look, all I want to do is tear it off your body.”“All we want to do,” Nikolai corrected, his

  • CLAIMED BY THE MAD ALPHA BROTHERS    ALL EIGHT EYES

ANOKAII opened my eyes to find myself in bed.Not the car. Not Nikolai’s arms. A bed.Confusion washed over me as I blinked at the unfamiliar ceiling.Cream colored with detailed molding. Expensive looking. Nothing like the rough wood beams of the Shadowcrest packhouse. How did I get here?I tried to remember. The car. Nikolai. The game. The sex that had left me boneless and satisfied. And then nothing. I must have fallen asleep against him, exhausted from everything. He must have carried me.I moved to sit up, to look around and figure out where exactly I was. Then the sheet slipped down and cold air hit bare skin.I was naked.Completely naked. My face went hot. I grabbed for the sheet, pulling it back up to my chest just as a knock sounded at the door.“Come in,” someone called.Wait, that wasn’t me. I hadn’t said anything. The door swung open before I could dive back under the covers properly. Before I could make myself decent.Nikolai walked in like he owned the place, a woman t

  • CLAIMED BY THE MAD ALPHA BROTHERS    THE TRUTH GAME

ANOKAII stared at him. At the hunger in his eyes. At the way his thumb was still tracing my lower lip like he was already imagining what he’d do if he won.“That’s not a game,” I said, but my voice came out breathier than I intended. “That’s just you trying to get what you want.”“It’s a game if there are rules.” He leaned back slightly, his hand dropping from my face. “Truth game. We each say three things we think is true about the other person. Get at least two right and you stay in. Miss two or more and you lose.”“And if I win?”“Then you decide what happens.” His smile was slow. “And if I win, I decide.”I bit my lip, thinking. The lamplight made his eyes look almost silver, reflecting like a wolf’s in the dark. He looked tense still, wound tight, but there was something else now. Playfulness. Hunger. Need.Maybe this was exactly what he needed. A distraction from whatever was eating at him.“Fine,” I said. “But I’m going to get them all right. So you might as well give up now.”

ANOKAI“Now?” I stared at him. “But the picking isn’t until the second morning. We have time. Why would we leave now?”“It’s not.” Nikolai’s voice was tight. Controlled in a way that made me nervous.“What do you mean it’s not?”I watched his face as he spoke, noticed the tension in his jaw, the way his eyes wouldn’t quite meet mine. Something was wrong. Something he wasn’t telling me.“The council decided to move it,” he said. “It’s tomorrow night now.”“Tomorrow night?” The words came out louder than I meant them to. “They just changed it? Just like that?”He nodded.“Which means we need to get going. Now.”My mind was racing. Tomorrow night. That was barely any time at all. And leaving right now in the middle of the night felt wrong. Rushed. Like they were running from something instead of running toward something.“Can’t we leave tomorrow morning?” I asked. “When the sun comes up? We’d still have plenty of time to get there.”Nikolai’s eyes finally met mine.“Do you have a problem

  • CLAIMED BY THE MAD ALPHA BROTHERS    LEAVING TONIGHT

ANOKAIEvening light was fading by the time Rissa’s sisters finally stopped talking.I met them hours ago. Two girls, younger than Rissa, both with the same wide eyes and careful smiles. They’d been nervous at first, standing in the doorway of their small home like they weren’t sure if they should bow or run.But Rissa had pulled them inside, introduced us properly, and somehow the afternoon had dissolved into evening and then into night.Talking. Laughing. Listening to stories about their childhood that made Rissa blush and her sisters giggle. It felt normal. Human. Like I was just a girl visiting friends instead of a Luna married to four cursed alphas who might or might not survive the next few days.I didn’t want it to end.But eventually Rissa stood up, noticed how dark it had gotten outside, and apologized for keeping me so late.“The alphas will be looking for you, my lady,” she said, her voice nervous again. Back to formality now that the evening was ending.“Stop calling me th

ANOKAI’S POV"Get behind me," I said, my voice steadier than I expected."My lady…""Behind me. Now."Rissa moved, pressing herself against my back. I could feel her shaking, could hear her rapid breathing. The wolves continued their approach, yellow eyes gleaming with hunger and violence. My mind
