Trying not to say anything, I just looked at him investigate the area.

"Your mother became one of them, isn't she?" he asked then threw at me a large piece of nearly-burned wood.

As I looked at it, I noticed some scratches marked on it. I grasped hardly on the wood and clenched my fist.

"It seems like your mother attacked someone."

"W-What? N-No, my mother won't do that." I defended even though deep inside of me, I knew she probably had attacked my sisters.

He just looked straight at me. "How would you know? Are you certain?"
