NELLY

"Nelly meet my boss, Mr Alexander Echi."

I freeze instantly as I hear that name. There was only one Alexander Echi I knew and that was my ex best friend and ex boyfriend as well. Or could there be another? I question in my mind.

I raise my head to see who the Alexander Echi being introduced to me is, and the face that greets me is the same face I thought I would never have to see again. It was the face that tormented me for months before Chike came to my rescue; my ex boyfriend, Alexander Echi.

"Mr Echi, meet Nelly Okafor my friend, and companion for the night." Chiamaka continues with her introduction, oblivious to what was transpiring between me and Alex.
