I shook my heart vehemently as my stepmom continued ranting about how I was creating problems for Ella on the movie set and how I tried assaulting on her at the movie premiere.

When I felt I can't take it anymore, I had to yell at her, "Mom have you ever worry about me? Did you even ask where I was right now?" 

Over the phone, this woman was still venomous just like I remembered her to be. The only difference is that she tried to put in a calm tone, "Ruby my dear. Where you at?" 

Anger gushed from the bottom of my heart and I wanted to end her call immediately. But then her voice came again, "I know you hate Ella and Micheal for what they did but don't you think you're overdoing your anger? You ran away without a trace only to appear at the movie set, Ruby Moon what on earth is wrong with you?"

"So your problem now is me going back to the movie set?" I sneered. "Your daughter stole my husband and stole my career, yet all you can say is this?" 

"But they're both mates," My viper of stepmother shot back. "I heard that he offered you a lot of alimony but you rejected it. So you're angry to the extent of rejecting money? Ruby Moon just what on earth is wrong with your brain?" 

Her words are really fuckin with my emotions at this moment and I feel so angry that I clenched my fists and dug my long nails that Kate just trimmed in my skin almost dripping blood. 

I know this is her mission to make me petrified to the post of coming back home but I'm not going to give her that joy. "Mum. You can tell Micheal to give your daughter the money to keep health. But I'm not interrupting in any of you anymore! Leave me alone!!"

I guess it's the coldness of my voice that got to her that made her retort back in a similar sharp tone, "Grow as much as many wings as you afford but I won't sit around and let you ruin Ella's life. Cut ties with all of us and get yourself out of that movie set until I come there to walk you out" 

"We both know you can't do that mum" I chuckle darkly. "If you want me to cut ties then I'll do that for you. I'll pay you back every penny you send on sending me to acting college only to snatch it back by forcing me to get married and I'll pay you back for making me your daughter's housekeeper when we're both still at the university. You gave me a place to live amongst your rats and termites and I'll pay you back slowly."

"You......" She was rendered speechless as I know this is what it takes to get my stepmom on leach. "Continue making mouths until I come to show everyone the prove that your marriage Ella's rightful mate" 

"Mom, you're too imaginative." I don't bother to explain to her since it's useless and I'm already vexed as it is. 

"Micheal will never take you back now he's Ella's mate" she continues ranting again. "Tell whoever that's behind you and was giving you all these delusions that they're ruining your life!" 

"At they aren't ruining my life to mend their daughter's like you do" I fight back. 

"You ..."

When I heard this, I'm sure I've gotten her held in place so I concluded my speech, "If you're really that afraid that I'll try going back Micheal because Ella is now with him, is a big daydream because I don't go back to my vomit. And mind you, I'm doing fine over here so you don't have mind me again"

After I finished speaking, I hung up angrily. It was after this that I realized that I was crying. Like... I was really crying. 

She never called to ask of my well being but to threaten to me leave the movie set that Pyrrhus made alot of effort to get for me? 

With much effort, I wiped my face and turned around and unexpectedly saw Pyrrhus there. 

His icy blue eyes were as deep as the sea, enchanting and mysterious. He stared at me for a moment and we stayed that way for a long time before he suddenly pulled me into a tight hug. 

I was caught off guard at this abrupt action and pushed at his chest to chest to release me but his grip was tighter. "Cry. You can cry as much as you wanted now that you're in my arms" 

Undeniably, my body melted at these words and I became soft as I stayed in his embrace before the tears that I had suppressed flooded in full force. 

Pyrrhus embraced me tighter. "I will be your family even they disown you. Even if she doesn't want you to bear Ruby Moon again, you can take my name" 

I let go of all grudges and shame and embraced him tighter while I cried the more. When I felt I have cried enough, He released me. "I'm sorry I waitjer when you're at your worse like this" 

"You've done more than enough for me Pyrrhus" I breathed, "I'll take care of myself. Let's just stick to the contract" 

Hearing me talk about our contract made him back off and then his caring voice switched back to the usual rude tone. "So... Who's that woman that called?" 

I ooked at him awkwardly. "What are you doing at home by this time?"

"I'm a boss in my own company and pack which means I can get off work anytime I want" he sneered and strode in with his long legs, looking elegant.

I stared at him speechlessly for a whim before getting brain back. "That's My stepmother. Ella's mum" 

His face locked into mine again before snapping out of it. "Ruby Moon, are you this mannerless? I just hugged you and let you cry in my arms, don't I deserve a baby kiss. We'rent you thought that?" He suddenly asked ruining the hypnotic moment. 

I rolled my eyes angrily, "Yes, yes, yes. You're the most educated and I'm the least educated. Luckily, we're going to divorce sooner or later. Otherwise, if I were to be despised and educated by you for the rest of my life, I would really go crazy."

Pyrrhus folded his hands behind his back jokingly "That's true" 

"What?"

"I'm the most educated, and you're the most beautifully created. That's true," Pyrrhus said making my heart flutter with euphoria. 

"You....." I glared at him, snorted, and imitated his walking style and walked before him. 

Pyrrhus almost burst out laughing when he saw this. Yes this is what I wanted. I wanted to raise the dangerous and emotional atmosphere that my stepmom has created.

Then turned back with a smile and said, "Don't you like this? Don't I look like you? "

"Silly," he pat my head, "You're so stupid that you don't even understand that that's not how I walk"

"Hey!!" I called out and we both burst into laughter.

I guess he'd forgotten about my embarrassment earlier in the morning and I don't pray he remembers it. I laughed with him cheerfully until his phone vibrated and when he checked it, he smiled again, "I guess it's high time I start to block people" 

"What?" 

He waved his hand, "it's nothing" 

I looked away thinking he was done until he asked again, "is it true that you won't go back to Beta Micheal?"

The smile on my face froze, and a hint of pain flashed across my heart. Since when did he start to care if I go back to Micheal or not? "Isn't it awkward to talk about our ex's like this this?"

"No," he said. "I'm even interested in what your ex does for you to capture your heart" 

I was speechless again. Is this man fuckin crazyy?

"Actually I really can't fo back there" I finally began to say, "I'm someone who doesn't like to go back to what I had left. It disgusts me to the core"

Pyrrhus didn't say anything and I felt his gaze is getting more intense on me and I looked up. For a moment, I felt as if that sexy gaze was going to penetrate my body.

Oh goddess.... Since when did Pyrrhus start to look this sexy to me.

"But I'll help you if you want to go back to him after our deal is over" his voice suddenly rang into my trance and I frowned. 

I beat him lightly, "How can you say such a thing to your mate? Who says I want him!!"

He smirked, "I'm only worried that I'm the reason why you can't go back to him"

"Does that include finding a husband for your mate and Luna? Lycan Pyrrhus, you're too kind" I can't help but laugh.

Pyrrhus also smiled but then he gaze turned low, "I promised to make all your wishes come true. If going back to Micheal is one of them, I'll gladly make it come true"

My heart skipped a beat. Pyrrhus looked  irredeemably sexy when he said, "I promised to make all your wishes come true" 

I turned my head, blinked, and smiled faintly. No matter how good he was, he was still a king and a cursed Lycan. 

In the next five months, all these laugher and promises will become just a dream.
