Zora stared at nothing, then sighed. "And if I embarrass myself?"

Zina's voice softened with genuine affection. "Impossible. He's already crazy about you. All we're doing is showing him you're crazy about him too."

The conversation lingered in Zora's mind as she moved around her chambers, suddenly hyper-aware of everything. She hadn't opened the elegant package Trent had sent. She only caught a glimpse of the fabric through the transparent box. She carefully unwrapped the box.

Her mouth fell open in shock.

It wasn't just one dress. The first section contained the stunning gown she'd seen, deep midnight blue with silver threading that caught the light like captured starlight.

The middle section made her gasp audibly. Jewelry nestled in velvet—a sapphire necklace that would rest perfectly at her throat, matching earrings and a bracelet. Everything was clearly custom-made, probably worth more than most people earned in a lifetime.
