Alpha Trent stopped behind her, so close she could feel the heat of his presence.

He leaned in, and with a voice that vibrated with power and ancient rage, he said, “I am Alpha Trent, the alpha of the Nightfall pack. Who are you?”

The weight of his name hit her like a curse. Her legs threatened to give way, but she forced herself to remain standing, barely.

Dane had told her stories—how powerful Alpha Trent truly was. A warrior forged in blood, one who had survived countless wars.

It was those battles that had changed him, twisted his fate.

He wasn't just a werewolf.

He was half vampire, half beast.

Alpha Trent noticed how she was trembling; he leaned in and said, “Your husband offered to welcome me. I hope he tells you what I requested from him. A blood servant, and he offered you,”

Zora couldn't say a word; she nodded in negation.

“He said I should drain your blood in order not to feel the pain you will be subjected to; he rejected you,” Trent said, reading her emotions.

Zora’s eyes widened in terror, her breath quickening. She trembled violently, cold beads of sweat trickling down her neck.

She couldn't believe Dane would want her dead. What has she done to deserve this?

She closed her eyes, bracing for whatever pain Trent would bring. She had endured agony far worse than a bite; the bond and claiming pains were indescribable.

She patiently waited for his fate, but to her surprise, Trent let out a humorous laugh, a dark, mocking sound that sent a chill through her.

He turned to his Beta. “Tie her hands. Take her out like a slave. No respect for her.”

Brandon stood frozen, shocked by the cruelty in his Alpha’s order, but without protest, he complied. He dragged Zora from the room, and all eyes followed them as they left.

Outside, a crowd had gathered, their eyes heavy with sorrow. They watched as Alpha Trent and his entourage led Zora away; the sadness in their gazes was readable.

From the edge of the crowd, Glenda emerged. She wore a sad expression, but when her eyes met Trent's, she let out a satisfied heave and recoiled, as if she had been satisfied with what happened to Zora.

Everyone watched as Zora was dragged into the Maybach. It would have been better if her fate had changed for the better, but everyone knew that Alpha Trent was another beast in human clothes. Their assertion was that Zora would meet a fate crueller than the one she experienced with Alpha Dane.

Trent loosened the rope as soon as they got into the car. Zora gazed down; she was too scared to be borne to his gaze. Trent's gaze never left Zora for a millisecond; he was so excited that he could find someone who could tame his craving for blood.

As they left the Moonclaw border, Trent finally spoke. “Brandon, stop the car,” Trent ordered.

Without hesitation, Brandon abruptly halted the car, which caused Zora to sway and want to hit her head, but Trent caught her with his hand.

“Get out,” he said.

Zora's heart raced as she stared around; she saw that there were no houses where they were, just bush and an untiled road.

Tears began to drop from her eyes without her saying a word. Trent moved closer to her; he could hear her heart hammering in her ribcage.

He slowly removed the black ring from his right thumb and quickly held on to Zora.

His heart was swollen with emotion; he swallowed hard, not wanting to break down. Never!

Zora didn't know what he was doing, but she could tell that he was different now.

Zora slowly raised her eyes to look at him.

Alpha Trent was... breathtaking.

His features were impossibly refined for a warrior: sharp jawline, high cheekbones, and lips that looked as though they’d been carefully carved. His skin was smooth with a pale undertone, almost too perfect. But it was his eyes that stole her breath—blue, intense, framed by lashes so thick they could’ve belonged to a god. His jet-black hair was pulled back into a sleek bun, adding to the sharp elegance of his appearance.

He looked like danger and beauty wrapped in one form—and she hated that for a second, she forgot to breathe.

Her eyes lingered on his face, stunned by the contradiction of deadly power and impossible beauty.

But then his voice shattered the moment.

“Who are you?” Alpha Trent asked again, his tone cool.

Zora startled and quickly withdrew her gaze from him.

She couldn't utter a statement in response to his question.

“Luna, break your bond with the Moonclaw pack now.” He commanded.

Without hesitation, Zora raised her hand and pronounced her breaking bond with Moonclaw. A hum sound followed by a flashlight broke in the sky.

Alpha Trentd-linked Brandon; he warned him not to say anything to anyone in his pack. His discovery must be known to only the two.

They got into the car and drove to Nightfall Pack.

It took them 4 hours to get to the pack. Zora slept off along the way. Alpha Trent couldn't help but stare at her pale skin. He clenched his fist when he saw several marks on her body.

“Welcome, Alpha. Who is she?” A woman with grey hair asked as she approached them.

“Aman,” Alpha Trent greeted; he opened the door for Zora.

“Aman, have her treated; I don't want to see any scar on her skin.” He said and walked away.

Aman quickly mind-linked Freya, who was the pack nurse.

“Freya, your attention is needed. Alpha has an important guest and needs medical attention,” she severed the link and smiled at Zora.

“You’re welcome. I am Aman, Trent’s aunt.” The old lady in her seventies introduced herself.

“I'm Zora, his blood servant,” Zora responded with a hint of fear in her tone.

Her lips curl into a smile.

“No, I don't think so, and from the appearance of my cousin, it seems you are important to him. He had never asked to take care of someone the way he said now.”

“I must be important to him because of my blood,” Zora thought in her head.

She helped her inside. Zora was stunned when she entered Alpha Trent's mansion, his own toilet beside Alpha's. Several workers were busy with different tasks.

Zora's fear disappeared; the news about Alpha Trent was different from what she was seeing. At least he cared for his people; no one looked malnourished here. Unlike her former pack, Dane was selfish in that he took care of his household before the pack.

A higher percentage of the allocation goes to his family alone. Though Zora was not exempt from good shares, she always used her money as leverage for the poor people in the pack.

Alpha Dane was indeed a wretched man before Alpha Trent.

Freya got in with the medical equipment in her hand. She was stunned to see that the important guest Aman mentioned on the phone was a woman. She stared at Zora, dumbfounded for a while before she regained herself.

“I'm the pack nurse, Freya,” she said, squatting to examine Zora's leg.

“I'm Zora.” Zora didn't say much because Freya's expression wasn't welcoming. She watched as she attended to her wound.

“You have minor injuries; with the portion I added, you should heal soon. As for your frail body, I will speak to the kitchen staff about the kind of food they will be preparing for you". In two to three weeks, you should come back to your real self.” She paused.

Zora felt her cheek red with embarrassment; the frail body was a slap in the face. It was once said that happiness is food for the soul. She had lost her happiness four months before Dane claimed his mate.

Freya continued, “What is your blood group?”

“O positive,” Zora replied, looking down.

“Rhesus factor,”

“R negative,” she said, arching her brows.

“Why are you taking all this information?” Zora asked, something didn't sit well with her.

“So that I can get blood replacement for you, or you don't think you will need it,” Freya asked rhetorically.

Confusion hitched Zora's face. Was her condition so bad that she would need blood?

“What the hell is going on?” She asked herself.

Freya noticed her worries, then she explained, “I'm sure you know why you are here and what you are here for.” So, you will be needing a replacement ASAP. Alpha sucks hot blood, one in your system."

“Freya!” Alpha Trent called her from inside.

She startled, the file and pen in her hands sent to the air. She began trembling from the spot.

Zora’s heart skipped a beat—she didn’t know what to expect. She stepped into the bathroom, which was as large as her bedroom back at Moonclaw Pack. If Trent wasn’t a blood-sucking bastard, this place would have been a dream come true. She was a gold digger; she had dreamed of building large wealth with Dane only for Dane to betray her with his mate. Her gaze swept over the expensive fixtures and glossy marble. She sighed. She had no idea how much pain she was about to endure under the vampire’s control. The Jacuzzi had already been prepared. Steam curled from the water’s surface. She dipped her hand into the soap as if she were checking her nightmare.Slowly, she undressed and sank into the warm tub. Memories of Moonclaw Pack washed over her like a wave. She wondered what kind of spell Alicia had cast on Dane or how strong the mate bond was to wish her death, and she burst into tears. She didn’t think anyone could hear her—not with the soundproofing in this luxurious prison. Her tea

Alicia began crawling backwards, fear engraved on her face, as she wanted to let her eyes meet Trent but she couldn't. The voice sounded familiar, but she couldn't look up to see who he was.“Who is he?” She muttered under her breath; her heart was thumping loudly. The tears that were streaming down her eyes were not pretentious. Everything about this man screamed danger, and her heart nearly came out of her mouth. She quickly mind-links Dane.“Mate! Please help, I'm with the visitor together with Zora. Zora told me to bring wine for the visitor, and I did,” she said to the mindlink.Dane could sense unease in her voice. Before he could ask if she was alright, Alicia had severed the link, causing Alpha Dane to panic. Though he felt no danger from Zora through the mark bond. But something was not adding up. His mate was in danger. He would have felt her pain if he had marked her; a werewolf couldn't mark two she-wolves at the same time. Since Zora had his mark. Alicia would forever b

“We’ve been here for two minutes, and you still don’t know how to welcome an Alpha,” said the Black man standing beside Alpha Tren“t. His eyes shot Alpha Dane a dagger.“I’m sorry, Brandon. The maids are on their way with the wine,” Dane replied, his voice unsteady; the aura emanating from them overshadowed him. He cursed their presence inwardly. The Moon Claw Pack was once a district under the Fang Pack. It's Alpha Macho, who had ruled with fear. No one dared challenge him. Dane’s father had tried—and paid with his life. After his father’s death, Dane stopped at nothing but to destroy Macho and sought help from the cursed Alpha of Nightflame Pack, Alpha Trent. With Trent’s help, Dane brought down Macho, and since then, his pack has risen to lead the districts. The presence of Dane’s blood ran cold. Trent never visited without a reason, and it was never a good one. He had never stepped into Moonclaw ever since the day he helped. Alpha Trent’s Beta, Brandon, glared at Dane. Dane clen

Dane’s eyes turned crimson red as he stomped in. He rooted on the spot as he saw Alicia on the floor clutching her stomach. “Zora! What have you done to her?” He growled. Alicia, faking pain, raised one of her hands and said through her gritted teeth.“Don’t blame Luna Zora. I never wanted this. I begged her to let me go, but she refused. I told her I was pregnant, and she... she threatened to harm the baby. She did it, Alpha Danes. She hurt our baby.” Her words were laced with false tears, each one a knife twisting deeper into Zora’s heart.Zora’s world stopped. Her breath caught in her chest as the weight of what Alicia had said crushed her; Alicia was pregnant. For two years, Zora had been married to Danes, and she had never missed her period even once. They both desperately wanted a child; this resulted in carrying out many rituals. The ritual with the highest was the one on the last day that fell on their wedding anniversary. But Dane disappeared. He abandoned her because of th

Despite the mating pain she endured every night, she still managed to pledge her humanity to the people of the Moon Claw pack.Zora was on an outing to give a second dose of the portfolio vaccine to the children in the pack. She went alone with her mother-in-law. Glenda has never left her side since the incident. She had suggested that Zora should run away, but she still couldn't do it without her son rejecting her.Mothers who gathered to collect injections began to murmur.“This is the second time Luna Zora is giving out children injections that Alpha Dane would be absent for. • CONTRACTED TO THE BEAST ALPHA   Chapter 2

No one had gone missing, at least not to her knowledge.Confused, she followed his gaze. The woman’s face beamed with excitement as she flashed a radiant smile in her husband’s direction.Today was their second wedding anniversary.“Who is this stunning woman? Why was her husband looking at her like that?”A wave of irritation and jealousy surged through Zora as she watched the woman, still smiling, make her way toward them.“Mate,” the woman whispered.A cold gust swept through the hall.
