Christian stood for a moment watching Lyn take the call, the man's screams were loud enough to be heard without activating the speaker.

He was tempted to stay and listen to the entire conversation between father and daughter, mortified by the man's despotic attitude towards the girl, but he realized that would be a violation of his privacy, he could not be so absorbed, no matter how much he wanted to protect her. He reluctantly left the bathroom and went to get her tea.

"Damn it Lynda, are you deaf? I asked you where the hell you've been and you left me standing here like an idiot waiting for your answer," the girl closed her eyes, took a deep breath. And counted to three before she answered him.

"Hi, Dad, I'm fine, thanks," she replied to remind him of his lack of politeness towards her.
