10 I Don't Need Your Pity

Kaylee could not believe her father had just said that.

"Dad?", she called out in disbelief.

"It's much faster, honey. I won't have to", Kaylee cut her father short rudely by walking towards Kavinsky's house. Mr. Blaine just heaved a sigh of defeat.

"I will be taking my leave now sir", Kavinsky said with a bow and went after Kaylee.

Mr. Blaine smiled in the direction of Kaylee and Kavinsky. It felt good to see that his daughter was making friends already. He unlocked the car and entered the driver's seat. Laura too hopped into the passenger seat, beside her father and he drove out of their front porch.

Kaylee sat in the front passenger seat waiting for Kavinsky to come in. She was angry at the way her father had traded her away to some guy he just met but she wasn't all that angry.

Kavinsky went into the car as well and put in the key to start the engine.

"Do you have a driver's license?", Kaylee asked immediately as he put the key into its hole.

"Yeah, trust me", Kavinsky repl
