why are they using flashlights, they are wolves aren't they? they should be able to smell her scent, with werewolf senses and they should.also be able to see well. they don't shift?

am really sorry, but i need to ask, the quads are warewolf right? so why they need a car to go after their father, it should be faster if they are in their wolf form. and what is the need of flashlight? they are warewolf so they have the ability to look in the dark. am really sorry if am wrong..
