Maya Cyrus counted the tickets for the second time before putting them into their envelopes. There were five tickets in total and she intended on giving them to her parents, siblings and Wanda at dinner later that day. The tickets were for a production by the American Ballet Theatre where she was a ballerina. Maya's interest in ballet was noticed first by her mother when she was six, and she joined an academy when she was seven. Maya served as an apprentice and joined some of the Ballet Theatre's production as a corps de ballet dancer but when she turned sixteen, she joined the theatre officially.

Maya found joy in ballet, she felt free and she believed when she was on stage, there was nothing that could stop her. When she was on stage, she was the happiest.
