Chapter 2 Is she awake?

Kenny picked up his car keys without responding to her and quickly left the house.

Natasha stood in the same position as she heard the car leaving the compound.

She had wished for love and doting from Kenny forever but she never expected that it was going to end just like that.

She had persevered for a while thinking that things would take a good direction but all her dreams had just died like that.

She was in a for two years, most of which as a single person.

She fell on the ground as she cried bitterly.

The two-year marriage had just ended like that and she knew that she would never see him again.

Natasha wished that she could be Sophia who was able to capture his heart.

After crying for almost ten minutes, she wiped her tears, then promised herself that she would never cry for him again.

She took her bag and started parking her clothes that could be counted with fingers.

She walked around the house one more time, knowing that she would never be back at that place again.

She dragged her bag towards the living room where she met Kenny.

"Is he already back? Has he come to beg me not to leave?" she thought, but all her hopes were shattered.

"Where is she going baby?" Natasha heard a female voice behind him.

She looked in the direction of the voice only to see the girl she never wanted to see.

She could already guess that the girl must be Sophia, the one she had been donating blood to for the past two years.

"Where are you going? I said that this house belongs to you," he said.

"Don't you have ears, Mr Kenny? I told you that I didn't want anything from you," she said.

Sophia looked at Natasha with hatred.

She knew that Kenny liked that house very much and she did not expect him to give it to her.

"Why did you give her our house? She has enjoyed too much luxury for the past two years," she said.

Natasha looked at her as she smiled.

"Madam Sophia, if I knew that my blood was being given to you, I would never allow it, I would rather donate it to dogs and let you die," she said.

"Kenny, did you hear her? Her father is the one who made me be in this state," she said, crying.

"Enough with your drama Natasha, just leave," he said.

"Mr Kenny and your lovely girl are leaving and I wish both of you well," she said.

By the time she finished her sentence ,Natasha realized that Kenny had already gone upstairs.

Sophia turned to her and smiled widely.

"Lowly girl, did you think that you would get my position forever? I knew you just wished that I would die so that you would always be his wife," she said.

"I'm glad that I was his wife for two years, but what about you? He is not even engaged to you,' she said as she got out of the door and slammed it.

Sophia stood in the same spot as hatred filled her heart.

The word that Natasha said felt like a knife cutting through her flesh.

She really needed to work very hard to marry Kenny.

If not married, then she had to ask Kenny's mother to ask Kenny to get engaged to her as they prepared for a grand wedding.

Kenny's mother, Mrs Polaris, was always there for her and she greatly supported the relationship between her and Kenny.

Kenny went back to the living room only to realize that Natasha was not there.

"Where is she?" he asked.

"Who are you asking about?" Sophia asked, pretending as if she didn't understand what he was talking about.

"Stop acting dumpy, where is Natasha?" he shouted .

His loud voice made her tremble, since she had never expected him to shout at her.

"She left," she quickly responded.

"Where is she? Why did you allow her to leave?" he asked as he quickly picked up his car keys.

"Where are you going Kenny?" Sophia asked, knowing that he was planning to go find Natasha.

"I can't let her be outside there alone, it's so cold," he said.

"Kenny, why should that bother you? I have been in a coma for two years and now am awake so we should spend more time together," she said.

Kenny looked at her, then opened the door and left.

Sophia was left there standing on the spot, not believing that he had really left.

She felt hatred for Natasha.

Kenny drove his car out of the compound and followed the direction that his instincts told him that Natasha was in.

At a distance he could see a figure dragging her luggage lazy.

He also realized that she was wiping her tears as she walked with her head bowed low.

She looked afraid and worried and he could tell that he was the one who had made her be in that state.

The sight made him feel bitter in his heart.

He stopped his car at the side of the road, looking at her.

The moment he wanted to get out of his car, he received a call and he quickly picked it up.

Seeing his mother's call, he knew that something must have happened.

It was very unusual for his mother to call him at such a time.

"Mum?" he spoke.

"Kenny, where are you?" he heard Polaris' voice.

"Mum, is there a problem?" Kenny asked again.

"If you are busy, I won't bother you, we are heading to the hospital," Polaris said.

"Mum, I am not that busy. What is wrong?"

"Sophia fainted and we are rushing her to the hospital," she explained.

"I'll be there in a minute," he said, then ended the call.

He quickly went to his call logs and dialled another number, which was picked almost immediately .

"Bro, she is on Ladhies road heading towards town. Go find her please," he said before ending the call.

Knowing that she would be safe in his hands, he turned to look at her again.

He then turned on his car and drove directly to the hospital.

Throughout the journey, Kenny could not control the heaviness in his heart.

Seeing her in that state was the last thing he wanted to see, but sometimes things do happen that one can not control.

He knew that she had suffered a lot and he had no other way to protect her.

Sending her out of his house was the best kind of protection that he could offer to her.
