Frederick is seen at the house trying to pack some of his things as Walker knocked on his door and came inside.

“Sir, I have been able to come up with a plan to get in touch with Mr Julian” Walker said but then paused as he saw Frederick packing his things.

“Are you going to Russia yourself sir?…..or are you going somewhere else?” Walker asked curiously.

Frederick found it perfect to use it as a cover up.

“Uhh, yes….. I will be going to Russia myself to meet with Stronach and have him explain

  • The Art of Loving A Criminal    Author's Note

Dear Reader,First and foremost, thank you. Thank you for picking up this book, for giving Lexi and Julian a chance, and for staying with them until the very last page. Whether you devoured this story in one sitting, stayed up far too late because you just had to know what happened next, or took your time with it, savoring each chapter — your time and attention mean more to me than you could ever know. Every reader who takes a chance on a new story is a gift, and I don't take a single one of you for granted. Not one.I want to be honest with you. I know this book may not have been everything you hoped it would be. Maybe the pacing felt off in places. Maybe some scenes didn't land the way I intended. Maybe the romance moved too fast, or too slow, or the mystery didn't unfold the way you expected. Maybe you wanted more from Julian — more depth, more vulnerability, more of the man beneath the sharp suits and sharper words. Maybe you wanted more from Lexi — more fire, more fight, more of

Mr Blackwood was still running away with his injured shoulder, accompanied by one security guard as they met with the back up squad detective Garrett requested for. They rushed over to him and had him arrested along with the men that fought with detective Garrett and Frederick while some came upstairs to where we were and arrested the investors, the pharmacist, the hitman and Marcus. I ran over to Julian the moment I broke away from the hitman’s grip as I held Julian in my arms.“Julian, I am here, look at me” I said as I tapped him gently on the face so he could be conscious.Julian was too weak to say a word as he stretched forth his hand and caressed my cheeks and then became unconscious as though he had been withholding until he touched me before he gave up. I held Julian in my arms and wept and cried until then medics came up to where we were and carried him onto a stretcher and out of the building as I and aunt Melda followed them into the ambulance and drove to the hospital.

Marcus stood there with the gun in his hands and couldn't say a word but as soon as he was about to mention a name, Mr Blackwood cut him short. “Dont worry, I know exactly who is responsible for your mother’s death” Mr Blackwood said.He took Marcus’s hand that held the gun and pointed towards David his father. “There, there…..the man responsible” Mr Blackwood said.Marcus became comsfused as to why the gun was pointed ti his father.“No, no….it can't be my father, its Lexi’s fault that my mother died” Marcus argued.“Of course not! He has been feeding you lies all along, I am sure he can say the same, hmm?” Mr Blackwood said as he looked at David knowing that David was at a stage where he would collect every blame and guilt. “Marcus, I am sorry….. I should have—I should have come clean about everything with you, I am so sorry son” David apologized sincerely.“No, mom wouldn't have died if you had listened to her! All of this wouldn't have happened if you hadn't brought Lexi home!

“Sir, Marcus is at the door” the hitman said. “Let him in” Mr Blackwood said and the hitman let Marcus in.“Where is my son?” Mr Blackwood asked from where he sat.“Sir, he—he escaped and I am sure he is headed here with the detective as we speak, I am sorry sir” Marcus said. “That's okay, that was my plan after all” Mr Blackwood said and this had Marcus confused.“ I don't understand sir” Marcus said.“Why do you think I let you handle Julian?….I knew you weren't up to par to handle him” Mr Blackwood said. Marcus felt inferior and like a failure at this point.“Not to worry, you have other tasks to fulfill” Mr Blackwood said.Suddenly the fourth investor stood.“What is going on here? What is this crap about a detective coming here? Are you trying to pin us all here on purpose and run with our money?” the fourth investor asked as other investors wondered if this was true. “Of course not, you don't have to worry about the detective, he is a minor issue that can be taken care of” M

At last, the day of the event was here. Julian was all ready to head to the address that was sent to him through a message. Detective Garrett came over to the residence as he was aware of the message sent. “Here, this is a tracker. You can have it installed anywhere you want” detective Garrett said and handed over the tracker chip to Julian and he collected it. “I will secretly have your location and tail you without being seen, you have to be careful Julian even though you think he still believes you're his son” detective Garrett said.“I will” Julian said and installed the chip into his shirt pocket and wore a black leather jacket over it. Julian found his way downstairs niw as he was ready to leave to the location, he got into his car and drove off.*******************************************Julian drove to the entrance of this location and it seemed like an underground bunker but with a garage where cars could be parked. Julian and Frederick finally arrived at Marve’s place and luckily they met with Marve but unluckily not with me.“What do you mean she is no longer here?” Julian asked. “I am sorry Julian, she left a couple of hours ago. She didn't want us to let you know she was with us” Marve said.“I understand…..Where is she now?” Julian asked.“To be honest, I have no idea but she mentioned she was going to return to you when she had cleared her head” Marve said.“There is a chance she might be back at the residence” Fredrick said.“We must have missed ourselves while coming” Julian said and headed back into the car, followed by Frederick.******************************************I was not back at the residence yet as I was still trying to find myself so I had lodged in a motel. I took a cold bath and was finally prepared to head back to the residence and figure things out with Julian instead of running away. Immediately I opened the door, I encountered Marcus and one other man at the entranc
