Chapter Twenty

When Jewel woke up the next day, she was inside an unfamiliar room.

Agad syang napaupo at inalis ang kumot na nakabalot sa katawan nya. She sighed in relief when she saw that she's still wearing the dress she's wearing at the bar last night.

The pleasant smell is very familiar to her. The pillow, the blanket, the bed, the whole room... they smells exactly like Quel—her childhood friend.

Is she inside Quel's room? Did she just sleep on Quel's bed? But why? She can't remember everything that happened last night. All she can remember is dancing on the dance floor, a strange man trying to hit on her but Quel protectively wrapped his arm on her shoulder so the strange man would back off.

She thanked him because of that and went back to their table to drink again and that's when she totally passed out.
