Chapter 11

Matsyaa never felt so ashamed before.

She was sitting on her bed, hiding her face in her folded knees and hiccuping. Her mother was hugging her sideways and brushing her hair on her back, but Matsyaa never looked up to see any of them. Her entire family was gathered in her room, silently mourning for her trampled pride.

They were tired of asking her but she refused to answer anything. Arush had told them about the condition he found her in when he had come to look for her after she didn't come back. She was shivering badly. Her face was full of tears and her breathing was labored.

Arush had asked her time and again about what happened but when she hugged him and started crying bitterly, he had brought her home without questioning further. Prem and others had followed them quickly after they got a call from home. Though Matsyaa said nothing, everyone understood what had happened.

"Matsyaa, honey, stop crying. You're going to fall sick!" Gauri said softly, brushing her hair back from
