Chapter 18: Cave

We reached the first demon shortly afterward. As soon as he spotted us, panic spread across his face when he realized it was Satan coming for him. Sam effortlessly pulled him down from the tree, checked his neck, and swiftly snapped it, all while I remained on his back.

The next one was still running, trying to escape. Sam easily outran him, first snapping his knee to stop him from running and then checked his neck again. Another red stripe. First he broke the other knee, then he kicked his head so hard that it half exploded.

The third one was hiding in a cave underground. I didn't see him, but Samael said he heard him. Heard him hiding. And smelt the vile smell of him from miles. There were more hiding in here, he said.

"Some think they can get away." Sam said when he entered the cramped cave. It was too small for me to remain on his back, so I slid off and stayed right behind him. "Have you ever had any escapees?" I asked when I slid closer to Samael, the cave being too dark for me
