Dante woke up after a few shakes and he lazily smiled at me. "What happened?" He asked me whilst looking around. "What? What do you remember?" I asked him. He shook his head. "I think I was dreaming. Sorry I fell asleep, babes. Let's have a look at these grades." He responded. He got up and held out his hand to me with an expectant look. "What do you mean?" I asked in confusion. "The grades? The last list of the year, let's have a look?" He answered with a laugh. I shook my head but didn't say anything. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the empty office.People around me were frantically searching on their phones. The further we walked into the university, the more people came out of their dorms and started cheering. Some people stormed into their dorms with sadness and shrugged off any people that tried to console them."What's going on?" I asked, even though I had a sinking feeling about what was happening. Dante didn't answer me but instead walked right into my dorm. Elyse,
"Wait!" She shouted loudly. I snapped my fingers back to my body and turned to Anna with shock. The demon stepped closer to me and let out a growl, but before he could speak, Anna stood up from the couch."Take me. Take me instead." She said out loud.Everybody was silent for a second. I held my breath."No." Adrian said. The simple word rang through the room. Anna looked utterly disappointed. I frowned at her. Why would she be disappointed?"Please, Adrian." Anna begged. The demon let out a loud snarl. Anna flinched back and I stood frozen on the spot. "Call me by my name again and you will not live. I do not want you." His voice held anger and Fay and Elyse were silent, staring down at the floor. I still looked at Anna who looked at me with a rageful expression. Why is she mad at me?"Little dove."The nickname made me snap my head in his direction. He held out his hand and I knew fighting would be no use. I extended my hand and placed it into his. I thought I imagined a ghost of a
We walked into the castle which seemed more like an entire city than one building. Up multiple stairs, through multiple hallways where some doors were open and others were shut. It was quiet in the castle and I looked into a few open doors to find empty kitchens, empty bedrooms, empty seating areas and other rooms that piqued my interest. Every guard that we passed bowed deeply to Adrian and stared at me with wide eyes. Some were looking at me angry, some curious and some had an expression on their face that I didn't want to think about. They were licking their lips like I was some piece of candy that they could eat. Some of the guards looked almost human but some definitely did not. I didn't try to analyse it too much and just tried to remember that I was in the demon realm. There wouldn't be a lot of human beings around, I presumed. The hallway widened out and at the end, there were two massive stairs that led to double, closed doors. More guards lined the hallway in this spot and
"Oh, and Elle. If you want to make your stay here easier, please follow some rules. It would be in your best interest. You are a slave here. First of all, don't speak unless asked a direct question or someone invites you to have a conversation with them. Touch nobody. Not even the King, unless he allows for you to do so. Oh, and don't provoke the King. His temper is short and he is known for handing out punishments. If his brothers come over, just avoid them as much as you can. Treat them like Kings in their presence and don't disrespect them, but try to be invisible. They are... difficult." Guela whispered the last word.I nodded. This was a lot to take in. I wanted to make some snarky remarks, but decided it was safer to not do that.Don't provoke the king. Don't provoke my ass. He took me away from my home for some favours. He was gonna get whatever he was given.Guela eyed me and I looked at her as innocently as I could. "All noted. We should make some inspirational quotes out of
"You're the Kings'?" The guy asked me. I frowned again."The King's what?" I asked him. I was nobody's thing. The closest someone I was to anyone was Damon Salvatore's wife. I mean, in my dreams. Actually. Now that I was thinking about it, Adrian looked quite similar to Damon Salvatore. Maybe a big taller and muscular. I wonder if Adrian had a six pack. NO, Gabrielle. Bad thoughts. No. Shaking my head, I looked at the guy with patience. He looked at my hand."The King's property. The King's slave." He finished."Fuck off." I responded. "If you think I'm property or a slave, you can, and I mean this in a nice way, go fuck yourself." I continued. I rolled my eyes at him and Luzo started laughing."Don't mind him. He's only saying that because you're staying in the red quarters. No one but the King stays there." Luzo explained. I nodded and shrugged. "I will probably move to the black quarters tomorrow. Or maybe the hot pink one." I said with a laugh. Luzo and the guy looked at me funni
Long chapter!"Okay. Great. Why am I there?" I asked. Guela finished my make up, put some black strappy heels on and I looked in the mirror. I looked good. Good to get out of here and never return. She did do a fantastic job with my hair though. The soft waves fell down my body without any sign of frizz. She pinned the front back so it didn't hang in my face the entire time."The King only eats with all his partners on very rare occasions. And you are the first human to be graced by his presence. I suspect, my dear, you will be used by his other partners. As his slave. " Guela stated and I immediately whipped my entire body around to her. "That's not happening." I stated. "I'm afraid you don't really have a choice. You're human, a weakling compared to us. A lower species. And you're the property of the King, he can do what he wants with you." Guela responded in a calm voice. Absolutely fucking fantastic, I thought to myself."We really have to go. You are late. Say your dress ripped
Long chapter!"But perhaps I will not. I will do with her how I see fit, Tia. Do not mend in my business." Adrian continued and I released a small breath I was holding. The danger wasn't over but at least I could breathe again.Everybody had food on their plates and wine in their glasses and I eyed the wine with interest. It will just be wine, right? Maybe it was something else. Maybe it was blood. I narrowed my eyes at the glass as if it would tell me if I just looked hard enough. "This is wine, right?" I asked Adrian. The rest stopped eating and looked at us with shocked expressions.Did I do something wrong again? I didn't call him My King, but was I supposed to call him that at every word directed his way? I went over the conversation with Guela. I should really ask if she could write them down as inspirational quotes. I could hang them up in places like the shower so I had time to read them through. Maybe I could decorate them nicely or make a song out of them."Yes. This is wine
I told myself to breathe. The little human in my arms was asleep. I looked down in wonder. I had never fed on so much lust from one person. Fuck. I want to fuck her. A human.Ren was looking at me with shock, his fingers inching towards the human in my arms. "Stay back, Ren." I snarled at him."My King. Did you feel that? She's so innocent but full of sexual desires. And so sensitive. I want her." Ren said, overstepping his boundaries. He realised he spoke without invite and he looked at me with apology. "I'm so sorry, my King." He said, his head down in a submissive position."She's not my partner, Ren. Have your fill on Briva, Shea or Tia." I responded. I wasn't going to punish him now for overstepping. Not when the human was still in the room. She will not be able to handle it, even when she is asleep. It will haunt her dreams. Human minds are weak like that. I would've already gotten up if I wasn't rock solid beneath the little dove. Her head was on my chest, her eyes closed and
