Chapter 35: Getting ready

I turned around to the door, finding Adrian standing in the doorway watching us. Aklan and Luzo bowed deeply and I still had the shampoo bottle in my hand, in the middle of my song.

I stared at him and almost stopped singing. And then I did, looking at his facial expression. He looked pissed off. "What's up?" I asked him, still standing on the bed. "Are you colour blind? I said the fucking black level." Adrian sneered. Aklan and Luzo took a step back, their bodies shaking from the anger of their King.

"Come. We have a dinner to attend. And you still stink of horses." Adrian snapped. I didn't answer, and instead just jumped off the bed. What was his problem today?
