Chapter 47: Yield

I snapped my head up. Adrian's half closed eyes were on me. He eyed the knife.

"What are you doing, human?" Micah snapped at me.

"Saving a life." I responded. I twisted the knife around, put as much power in my arm as I could, and threw the knife away from me. The opposite direction as originally planned.

The knife flew through the arena and hit Samael in his back. Samael let out a rageful shout and turned around in our direction. "Who the fuck di-" Samael didn't finish his sentence. He fell down. Adrian had grabbed his naked foot and pulled, making Samael trip. A hand closed around my neck. "Silly girl." Micah sneered in my ear. His warning was half heard, my eyes were on the fighting brothers.

Samael got up, and so did Adrian. Samael looked at him wide eyed. Adrian looked furious. And still in excruciating pain.
