SABRINA reached for Tyler’s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. Her husband was frowning, and she didn’t want to leave him while he was still upset, especially since they had just recently reconciled.

“Do you still really need to go to work? I can talk to your manager, even the other companies you’re contracted with. For sure, they’ll understand once they find out that you’re pregnant,” he said with a mixture of irritation and concern in his voice.

She released a deep sigh. “I can still handle it, you know. Besides, I plan to finish my other pending commitments while my baby bump isn’t too noticeable yet. Once I’m done with everything, I’ll finally take a break. I’ll also talk to Jose about that later,” she assured him.

At that moment, he turned to look at her. “Fine. But please be careful, okay?” He held her hand tightly, as if not wanting to let her go.

“I will,” she replied. She leaned in and planted a tender kiss on his lips before finally saying goodbye and getting out of the car.
