Elena's POV

"Sorry, I did not mean to pry," I said.

"It's fine. She just wants me to move on from my past," he said looking down.

"I can tell it is not an easy task," I said.

"That's what I have been trying to make her understand." He said looking glad that I understand his point of view.

"I meant to say...it's not an easy task to make someone move on from their past. I have been doing it for a while." I said making him look at me in surprise.

"Well, I can certainly say it's not easy to move on." He said shaking his head.

We walked closer to the beach in awkward silence.

"You came here alone?" I asked him.

"Yes." He replied.

"You are here with your family or friends?"

There was no point in lying to him, he would not go and tell Brandon that he met me here.

"I...I'm here with my boyfriend," I mumbled feeling my face heat up.

He suddenly stopped walking, looking lost.

"Adrian?" I called his name to catch his attention.
