Chapter Forty Three

Jake's POV

I caught my mom staring at something behind me and curiously followed her gaze. I saw her gazing at Elena.

"She really loves you," my mother whispered.

I was a bit shocked that how can she tell that Elena loves me.

"How can you tell? You know her for two days,"

She looked at me and smiled.

"Don't tell me you don't know that she loves you," she said looking surprised.

"I know, she has confessed it," I answered.

She raised a questioning eyebrow at me.

"And you didn't?" She said.

I sighed in response. I knew it was not the right time to indulge her in the story of my past.

"I'm sorry. I know I am getting a bit personal too soon. You don't have to answer that," she said.
