“Carol, have you seen my slippers? You know the Burberry one. It’s one of a kind!” Hannah says.

“Have you checked behind the couch downstairs?”

“Yes. It’s not there.”

“Check again. This time move the couch.” I say.

It’s been a few months since Jack, and I were dating. It's so ironic how fast time went by. I was only planning to stay here for the summer but now this place feels like home.

“You know Jack’s taking you out tonight. That means I can hang out with Max,” she says.
