Chapter 16 Man In Black

Lucky's POV

I couldn't pick up my phone from the floor. When I got home, I felt my heart clenching. I'm scared. Peter threatened me that he will k-kill himself and I'm scared. I'm scared he'd do the same thing that my dad did.

It was the weekend the next day. So I forced myself to visit Peter in the hospital. I don't wanna do this because seeing him hurts me but what he used to force me to come is too powerful. I can't ignore it. I can't let him die because of me. I can't let him do… that.

"Lucky…"

He was alone when I entered his hospital room. Tears formed in his eyes but I kept my expression hard and indifferent.

"Y-You came…"

I ignored what he said and stood beside his bed, just a meter away from him.

"Lucky…" He tried to reach my hand but I moved away. Pain flickered in his eyes.

"Why did you say that?"

He looked down. "I don't have a choice. I was desperate, Lucky."

Tears rolled down my cheeks. "You know h-how my father d-died. You know how sensitive it was for me. And you are so
