Chapter 54 Persistent Suitor

Lucky's POV

I was biting my lip while looking at the article about Damien taking over the Foster Transport Group of Companies. The whole business world is now in shock after what happened. Everyone knows that the Foster is one of the monsters in business but out of the blue, someone ended them.

"I saw that too."

I flinched and looked at Josh, who suddenly sat beside me. He smiled and handed me a mug of ice cream. "I brought you some."

Smiling, I accepted the ice cream. "Thank you."

He looked at the screen of my laptop. "Damien Green shook everyone when he suddenly took over the Foster Group. I'm curious. What happened while you're in the city, Lucky?"

I kept my lips pressed. I don't want everyone to know what happened. I want a peaceful life for my mom and my baby.

"I'm sorry for being nosy. I just can't help it. I'm worried." Josh added.

I looked at him. "I'm fine, Josh. Thank you for worrying."
