Chapter Thirty Eight

Eyes glistening with unshed tears, they remained stuck on his luminous pair of grey mysteries.

"Y-you love me? Tell me you're not kidding..." I said breathily.

"I don't do kidding, that's too boyish." He lowered his gaze at me. My chin trembled.

"But i thought... I thought you couldn't..." Confused, i was shaking my head.

He held my face still, to focus on his eyes. I stopped shuddering but i couldn't find a reason to breathe normally anymore. He took it by chance, hammered my heart, making it pound so loudly in my chest that it's filling my ears real clear.

"I thought i couldn't either, but you taught me," his lips pursed a bit as he paused before he continued. "Atasha, you taught me what love is. You woke me up in the reality where i could possibly feel it without minding anything but only you and me, that i learned how it is way far different from pleasure and pain i used to have as mediocrities to seek for light amidst the abyssal of my zone." He murmurs every sentence he makes.
