IVY’S POV

I couldn’t believe I was doing this. After my conversation with Doctor Rachel, it took me two days to gather the courage to do this. She would be visiting tomorrow, so I had to make a move. I stood up and left my room, heading for his office upstairs.

It’s now or never. What’s the worst that can happen? I thought.

Standing outside the dark wooden door of his study, I took a long, deep breath and closed my eyes, trying to quiet the wild fluttering in my chest. When I opened them again, I forced myself to feel a surge of pure determination. I was tired of being afraid. Doctor Rachel was right, if I was ever going to stand beside him, I needed to take the first step.

I raised my hand, knocked softly, and pushed the heavy door open.

The moment I stepped into his office, I was hit with the thick, rich scent of his pheromones. It filled my nose, so sweet and intoxicating that my mouth instantly watered. My heart skipped a beat, but for the first time, my body didn't freeze up in terror.

Leo looked up from his desk, setting down his pen as his eyes widened slightly in surprise. "Ivy?" he asked, his deep voice rich with concern. "Is anything the matter?"

I clutched the fabric of my dress, holding my chin up. "I need you to help me with something."

He immediately stood up, resting his broad hands on the dark wood of his desk. "Okay. Sure. What do you need?"

"Follow me. I'll show you," I said, turning on my heel before my courage could fail me.

I led him down the quiet hallway and into my room.

My heart pounded against my ribs as he crossed the threshold. Having him in my private sanctuary made the space feel suddenly small, swallowed whole by his towering presence. I gestured toward the far corner near my balcony doors, where a heavy, hand-carved mahogany wardrobe sat slightly crooked, blocking the light. I had intentionally unlatched its rear hook earlier, making it look as though it had shifted out of balance.

"The... the decorative mirror frame behind the wardrobe fell," I stammered, pointing toward the tight space between the solid wood and the wall. "I can't reach it, and it's too heavy for me to move."

I kept a safe distance away from him, standing near the edge of the bed as I watched him work. Leo stepped forward effortlessly. He unbuttoned the cuffs of his dark shirt, slowly rolling the fabric up his forearms, revealing strong muscle and faint traces of veins that pulsed under his sun-kissed skin.

My breath caught in my throat as he leaned over the heavy furniture. The subtle strain of his broad shoulders stretched the fine fabric of his shirt taut across his back, outlining every ridge of his intimidating physique. He was power in person. Raw, masculine, and gorgeously handsome. I found myself staring, mesmerized by the sharp line of his jawline, the soft sweep of dark hair over his brow, and the sheer, effortless grace with which he handled a frame that three men would struggle to tilt.

A dangerous heat bloomed deep in my lower abdomen. Something dangerous stirred within me, every instinct inside me screamed to close the gap, to press my palm against the warm broadness of his back, to feel the heat radiating off him. My heart hammered so loudly I was certain he could hear it.

With one smooth, controlled motion, Leo shifted the heavy mahogany wardrobe back into its exact position, setting the fallen glass frame securely onto the wall mount.

He wiped his hands together and turned back toward me, offering a gentle smile. "I'm done."

"Oh. Thank you," I said softly, my chest tightening as he rolled his sleeves back down, wiping his hands and preparing to step back out into the hall.

"No problem," he replied, his tone smooth and respectful. "If you need anything else, just let me know."

He turned to leave, but as I saw his broad shoulders moving away from me, panic seized my chest. I didn't want him to go yet. The distance between us suddenly felt too wide, and I unconsciously stopped him.

"Wait..." I blurted out before I could stop myself.

Leo paused instantly, turning around to look at me with curiosity. "Hmm?"

My face burned hot, and I looked down at my slippers, stumbling over my words as my cheeks turned bright red. "I... um... can you release your pheromones? I... the baby needs it."

The moment the words left my mouth, the air in my room shifted dramatically.

A thick, luxurious wave of scent flooded the small space…an intoxicating blend of rich spices, fresh strawberries, and a lingering hint of dark chocolate. My eyes closed on their own as I gasped softly, feeling a sudden, soothing warmth bloom deep in my belly and spread all the way to my fingertips. I stood there, drinking in every drop of his royal aura as it wrapped around my body like a heated silk blanket.

When I slowly opened my eyes, I caught him looking at me.

Leo hadn't moved closer, but his dark eyes were burning with an intensity that made my breath hitch. His pupils were blown wide and glowing. His gaze was hungry, filled with raw desire, intense tenderness, and an undeniable, fierce possessiveness that made my knees feel weak. We stayed trapped in each other's gaze for what felt like hours, the silence between us heavy with unspoken longing and electric tension.

Then, taking a slow, deep breath to control his inner beast, he gently broke the spell. He gave me one last lingering look, turned around, and walked out of the room, leaving me breathless in the middle of his sweet, lingering scent.

IVY’S POVThe quiet hum of the laptop fan was the only sound echoing through Leo’s spacious study. I sat comfortably on the soft leather sofa, the computer resting on my lap as I casually scrolled through the local news and wolf-community blogs, looking for any updates on high-society fashion for the upcoming Apex Gathering. Then, my finger froze over the trackpad.Right at the top of the trending entertainment page was a high-resolution photograph taken just hours ago inside the Royal Palace lobby. It showed Leo standing in his crisp black suit, looking impossibly broad and handsome, while a strikingly breathtaking woman stood close to him. She was laughing, her manicured hand resting intimately on his forearm, leaning into his space as if she belonged there. The glaring headline above the photo read:"High-Society Lovebirds Reunite? Lady Celeste and Crown Prince Leo Spotted Sharing an Intimate Moment Ahead of the Apex Gathering!"A sudden, sharp wave of heat flared deep in my chest.

LEO’S POVThe east sunroom was draped in golden afternoon light, filtering through sprawling floor-to-ceiling glass archways. Steam rose lazily from a delicate porcelain tea set resting on a glass table. My mother, Queen Eleanor, sat in a velvet high-backed chair, her spine straight as a blade, her silver-threaded hair pinned into a flawless royal crown braid."Sit, Leo," she commanded softly, not bothering to lift her eyes from the silk tapestry she was embroidering.I didn't sit. I stood near the archway, resting one hand inside my coat pocket, feeling the small, velvet box containing Ivy's sapphire pendant against my palm. "Sir Desmond said you summoned me, Mother. I have a long drive back to my estate."Queen Eleanor set down her needle and finally looked up. Her cold, sharp amber eyes, so similar to my own scanned my face, searching for any sign of tiredness."I received word from the High Council this morning," she began, her tone measured, every word calculated. "Alpha Marcus A

LEO’S POV"He has lost his damned mind," I growled, slamming my palm down onto the heavy mahogany desk. The mahogany rattled under the force of my Alpha aura, sending a tremble through the glass bottle resting on the tray beside me.Beta Sam and my Delta, Mark, stood across from me in the sunlit study, both holding rigid, defensive postures."What gives Marcus Ashworth the absolute guts to demand her return?" I continued, my voice dangerously low, vibrating with a dark, suffocating rage. "After what they did to her? If I didn’t arrive on time she may have died. He threw her away like trash, and now he dares to send a formal high-court summons demanding his 'rogue ward' back for pack questioning?""Leo, He’s playing a game," Sam said calmly, though his jaw was tightly set. "Marcus is a ruthless political snake. He knows pack law gives an Alpha leverage over unbonded pack members. He knows it is enough to stir up trouble in the High Council. He wants something.""Or someone is pulling h

LEO’S POV"I have a meeting at the high palace today, my love," I said, setting my teacup down on the small plate. "I will leave soon, and I probably will not be back until late tonight."Across the table, Ivy stopped eating. Her dark eyes grew big, and a tiny, cute pout formed on her soft lips. The sad look on her face filled my chest with warm love.I could not help but laugh softly. She was so sweet."Do not worry, I will come back as fast as I can," I promised, giving her a gentle look.I turned to the butler standing by the door. "Tell the driver to bring the car to the front right now.""Yes, Your Highness," the butler bowed and left quickly.I finished my food, wiped my mouth with a napkin, and stood up. Ivy watched me as I walked around the table. I leaned down, held her soft cheek, and kissed her sweet lips. IVY’S POV"One, two, three. One, two, three," Doctor Rachel counted, clapping her hands to the slow sound of the metronome on the table. "Keep your back straight, Ivy! Keep your head up and relax your shoulders!"Sweat was wet on the back of my neck as I tried not to trip over my long dress. My maid, Lucy, was playing the role of my dance partner, holding her hands out to pretend she was a big Alpha man. Every time I stepped forward, I accidentally stepped on Lucy’s toe."I am so sorry, Lucy!" I squeaked, stopping immediately and hiding my face in my hands."Oh, please do not worry, Lady Ivy!" Lucy laughed, smoothing down her apron. "My feet have seen much worse than your soft shoes, I promise."Doctor Rachel put down her paper board and walked over, handing me a cool, wet towel. "Take a deep breath, Ivy. Your whole body is stiff as a board. Royal dancing is not supposed to be a hard march. It should look easy, like you are floating across the floor on a cloud.""It does not feel like

IVY’S POVI didn’t know the movie I chose was this erotic.Leo was sitting a little distance away from me on the large living room couch. Since the movie started, he had not said a single word. I had read the quick synopsis earlier and picked what was supposed to be a funny action film, but I certainly didn't expect it to have any explicit scenes. I desperately hoped it wouldn't last long.I tried focusing on the screen, but I felt my face instantly heat up as I watched the male lead lift the female character into his arms and carry her aggressively toward the bed.I turned to look at Leo, only to find that he was already looking at me.My cheeks burned fiercely, and I quickly turned away, staring back at the screen. I gasped in shock as the male character began removing her clothes right there. This was getting so much worse.A low, deep chuckle echoed beside me."You didn’t know when you chose the movie, right?" Leo asked, his voice filled with amusement.I buried my face in my hand
