I'd thought I'd be able to keep up with hiding the hatred I had against the Zanders.

From the moment I'd been assigned to go through his case file and source for the evidence to acquit him, the murderous intent of having him shot kept going in my mind.

I thought I'd seen the last of him when the case was over until he asked Esme out for dinner, as much as I hated him, letting Esme go out with him alone was out of the question.

I got home and submerged myself in the water. The gruesome memory of what had happened and what he had done kept replaying.

" Mr. Zanders, please," I pleaded to no avail, my Father's already battered body was still being beaten so much that the flesh of his body scraped off with each lash of the belt.

" I'll take the cane for him,please spare him! He's innocent!" I screamed again, attempting to free myself from the hand of the guards who wouldn't let me go.

And he had breathed his last, the last strip of the belt had torn
