Angel.

Our eyes locked across the room like magnets that had finally snapped into place, and everything else faded into static—the music, the moans, even Darcy's voice.

His mask was simple, black and sleek, but there was nothing simple about the way he looked at me.

His eyes burned into me like he wanted to peel my clothes off my skin in front of everyone. A dangerous but delicious thrill twisted in my stomach.

Every nerve ending went on high alert and my breath caught the way it always did when he was near.

I tore my gaze away, my pulse hammering in my throat and I turned back to Darcy.

But she was already watching me with wide mischievous eyes, her wine-colored lips twitching in delight behind her jeweled mask.

Her fingers fluttered up to cover her mouth before she squealed softly.

“Oh my god,” she whispered. “It’s him, isn’t it?”

I blinked, a bit disoriented. “What?”

“The guy you were trying to make jealous. It worked, Angel. He looks like he’s two seconds away from setting the

Angel.Marcello left me without an explanation. There were no intimate whispers or anything, he just left, running after Tomas. It was as if his mind was elsewhere as he buttoned his shirt, leaving me like I didn't matter. And maybe I didn’t matter. Maybe I was just another body to warm his bed, another dick to satisfy his cravings. But I’d be damned if I didn't at least pretend I was fine.I sat there on the plush red leather of the booth, with my fists clenched as I resisted the urge to go after him. What the hell had Tomas whispered in his ear to make him abandon me like that? Was it something serious, like a threat? Or was it, God forbid, something intimate? Was Tomas fucking him too?The thought wrapped around my throat like a noose, and I found it hard to breathe.I shook my head, trying to remove the image from my mind, but it wouldn’t leave. I thought of Marcello, my Mask, on his knees with Tomas’s voice murmuring good boy.I shuddered as I bit my lip. No, it can't be that. M

  • Castillo Del Angel: Marked By Vengeance.    49. What If They Decide To Remove The Baby?

Castle.I first spotted Tomas as I walked out of the sex club and descended to the main club. He was leaning against the bar, his firm rigid with his eyes flicking between the entrance and the two people seated near him.It was almost like he was trying to decide whether to throw them out or protect them.My eyes drifted to the two people sitting at the bar: Rowan The Casablanca and his daughter, Adriana.I didn’t stop walking. I just tilted my head at Tomas, giving him a silent order and then climbed the stairs to my office, my mind racing at the weight of whatever they wanted to talk about.I barely had time to sit and remove my mask before the door creaked open. Tomas stepped in first, then he ushered in the devil and her father.I was shocked as I took in Adriana's appearance. She looked like hell and I'm not even talking about the usual kind of hell where her lipstick was the wrong shade or she’d left a hair out of place. This was real hell. Her hair was tangled in knots and her

Castle.A groan slipped past my lips, raw and unfiltered, as a shiver coursed up my spine at Angel’s words.“I don’t know whether to punish you or reward you.”Fuck, if only he knew that I didn’t care either way. As long as he was the one doing it, I’d take it all.I leaned in to kiss him, already drowning in the way his words affected me and my own desire, but before our mouths met, he slid his lips to my ear. “Be a good boy and strip.”That low, commanding, and sinful voice shot straight to my cock, and there was no hesitation on my part as I stood from the plush velvet cushion beneath me and positioned myself in front of him.My heart was pounding like I was at the gallows but also like I was on the edge of heaven. Maybe I should’ve felt self-conscious, but this was my sex club. Everyone here was either half-naked or fully naked, drenched in desire and shame-free, and I wasn’t going to be the exception. So I started slow, trying to draw out the time and if possible, torture him a

Castle. The air outside was too hot as I stepped out of the facility, or maybe it was just my skin that was burning. Tomas didn’t say anything when I slid into the car behind him, and told him we were heading to the mansion. He just nodded once and started the engine. When we got home, I left him waiting for me in the car as I went in. I made my way upstairs and into my father’s room, and didn’t waste time before searching. Just like he had said, there was a false wall in the closet. Inside was the black phone, fully charged. I tucked it into my coat pocket and turned to leave, but I should’ve known better than to think I’d get out clean. Adriana was waiting in the living room, draped in nothing but a transparent excuse for clothing, and blocking the front door with her arms crossed over her chest. I stopped and exhaled, praying for self control. “Castle,” she murmured, “I thought we could talk.” I shook my head. “Move.” She didn’t. “Please,” she whispered, taking a step c

Angel. There are just a few things more stressful in this world than standing half-naked in front of your closet, towel around your waist, and realizing you have absolutely nothing to wear to a club. I had already opened, closed, and reopened the same section of suits at least three times now. And yet, nothing screamed “you left me bleeding but I look hot enough to ruin your entire life.” Maybe I was overthinking it. But then again, I was planning to walk into Ecstasy, his main spot, and I wanted to do it with the confidence of a man who didn’t just get benched by his boss and abandoned by the most confusing lover-slash-stalker in history. I groaned and grabbed my phone, scrolling to Darcy’s contact and hitting call. “Please tell me you’ve already chosen your dress,” I said when she answered. “Oh, honey, not only have I chosen it, I’ve tried it on, taken it off, and practiced my walk in it. Twice,” she purred. “God, I hate you.” “No, you don’t. You’re just jealous. Want a sne

Castle. Rowan and I had a stare off before he finally conceded to the fact that he'd have to say whatever was on his mind, with Tomas in the room. He still had that stubborn righteous look in his eyes, the kind men wore when they thought their family name could shield them from fire. “It’s about Adriana,” he began in a clipped tone, like he was swallowing back the fury he really wanted to spit. I didn’t respond. “She came to me crying yesterday,” he continued. “Told me you haven’t been… paying attention to her. That she doesn’t feel loved. That it's like something has changed.” Well, she was right. Something had changed. From the second I laid eyes on Angel again, I stopped pretending that anything or anyone else mattered. “She said it feels like you’ve taken a lover,” Rowan added, his voice tightening with accusation. I still said nothing, I just let the silence stretch like a taut rope between us. “She’s your fiancée,” he reminded me, like I wasn't aware. “She left

  • Castillo Del Angel: Marked By Vengeance.    43. Let Him Watch.

Angel. There was something about his face that made it impossible for me to shake the feeling of familiarity. Mask had been haunting my mind since he left almost an hour ago, and it was not for the usual reasons—the way his hands moved over my skin, the way he whispered in my ear like he already owned me. No. Right now, it was because of his face. Because I was sure I knew it. I didn’t know how or when, but I knew that face. And the fact that I couldn’t place it pissed me off more than it should have, making me pace my apartment like a caged animal. Another thing that unsettled me was the fact that he didn’t tell me his name. That alone was already a red flag the size of Manhattan. Because he knew everything about me, from my job to my apartment down to my name, but he wouldn't even tell me his goddamn name. Maybe he had a reason, maybe he was trying to protect me or maybe he was protecting himself. Either way, it didn’t matter. He had made his choice, and it wasn’t me. So,

  • Castillo Del Angel: Marked By Vengeance.    42. Choose Your Words Carefully, Old Man.

Castle. The second I stepped out of Angel’s house and the door shut behind me, his voice echoed in my skull. That final threat—I wouldn't hesitate to shoot you the next time I see you—was seared into my memory. But it wasn’t the threat that bothered me, it was the look in his eyes. The way his voice trembled just enough to let me know that he didn’t mean it, but I had pushed him to that point. I was moving on autopilot as I walked stiffly to my Jeep parked across from his building. I slid into the driver’s seat, slamming the door shut harder than I intended, while my chest rose and fell in short sharp breaths as I leaned my head back against the headrest. What the fuck just happened? One minute I was asleep in his bed, pressed against the only man who’d ever had me completely. And the next minute, I woke up to him looking at me like I hurt him. I should have just told him my name. But the second I woke up to see the mask in his hand, panic seized me like a goddamn vice a
