LOGINALEXANDRIA
Are there no normal Alphas in this place?
I held myself back from pouncing on this guy. Thankfully, I was already aware of his attitude from Alexei’s stories.
Chad Suede of the Sovereign Pack. A playboy who often brought girls into their shared room, forcing Alexei to sleep in the 24-hour library. Heck, even his name sounded arrogant.
“Care to close the door? Or do you want your friends to watch me get dressed too?”
I pursed my lips, refraining from saying anything because I knew insults would just tumble out if I did. Instead, I turned to see Ryland and Mandy silently trying to calm me down. Ryland’s gaze was a silent reminder to breathe. Meanwhile, Mandy winked, her expression clearly conveying that she thought he was hot.
“Take care of the pack,” I said to Ryland. His expression softened, and he gave my shoulder a reassuring pat.
“Take care of yourself.”
I nodded at him before the two left the room. Turning around, I found myself face-to-face with Chad once more. He was watching the exchange with an amused expression, but I chose to ignore him and headed toward my side of the bed.
Looking at my brother’s tidy bed made me smile, but when I opened his closet, my smile faltered. His clothes were all there, but there weren’t many. I should have brought him more when he was still alive.
"It’s my first time seeing you come here with your pack members," Chad remarked, lounging on his bed with his elbows propped up, exposing his full abdomen.
It was an unpleasant sight, so I quickly looked away.
“Why do you care about my personal relationships?” I muttered, trying to keep my annoyance in check.
He raised an eyebrow, tilting his head to the side. “What’s this? You’re actually talking back to me?” He shifted his position, resting his elbows on his lap instead. “Did that car accident make you gain some courage or something?”
I responded with a deadpan smile. “I guess I just had enough of everyone’s bullshit.”
Just then, the room was filled with laughter, prompting me to pause once more.
“What’s so funny?”
“Nothing, nothing,” Chad replied, still chuckling, even wiping away a few tears of laughter from his eyes. “It’s just amusing to hear it from you, really. Makes me want to tease you even more.”
“More like it makes me want to strangle you more,” I countered.
He laughed again, so I decided to ignore him and began unpacking the few belongings I had gathered from our house. Luckily, we wore school uniforms, so I didn’t have to worry about dressing like a guy.
I felt a presence behind me, my irritation increasing with every second; this guy was really getting on my nerves. The moment I turned, however, I was taken aback by how close he was. Instinctively, I stepped back and glared at him.
He merely smirked, further annoying me.
“By the way, who was that woman you came with? She’s pretty hot.”
I closed my eyes, letting out a deep breath. “She’s my Beta’s mate. You don’t stand a chance, so don’t even try. You’d just pass on a sexually transmitted disease to her.”
He covered his mouth, but I could see he was smiling. “You’re actually pretty entertaining like this.”
“I’m not here to entertain you,” I muttered. “Now, move. I need to fix my things.”
“Just pass my number to her,” he insisted. “I’m sure the moment she saw me a while ago, her mind was swayed. Committing to your mate is boring anyway.”
I pushed him away from me and glared. “Don’t assume everyone wants to sleep with you. You’re not all that, you know? You’ve got nothing going for you aside from your abs and cockiness.”
His brows shot up, and this time, he didn’t laugh. “Oh, so you think you have a lot going for you now?”
“Much better than you,” I muttered.
“Really?” he replied, taking a step closer, his pace deliberate. I frowned as he continued his approach, closing the distance until my back hit the closet.
He leaned in, placing his hand on the cabinet, effectively caging me in, looking down at me. In that moment, I wished I were taller. My parents were on the shorter side, so Alexei and I both stood at only 166 cm. Meanwhile, Chad definitely towered over me at six feet tall. Must be nice.
"You? Much better than me?” he whispered.
He held my hand and lifted it slightly. “Now that I’m looking at you up close, you look more like a woman than a man.”
My breath hitched, but I didn’t let it show. Did he actually catch on this quickly?
“Your hands look delicate,” he continued. “What kind of Alpha has hands like these?”
I sighed in relief, discreetly. Thankfully, it seemed he hadn’t caught on.
“And what about this?” he chuckled, letting go of my hand and flicking my hair instead. “Your haircut is pathetic.”
“You’re so pale that you resemble a vampire, and those glasses—they take up half your face and make your eyes look tiny.”
“I’m pretty sure you’d look even uglier without them. In fact, I’ll prove it right now.”
Before he could make a move, I pushed him away using my strength, sending him stumbling back to the floor. I turned quickly to hide my smirk.
So, despite his muscular build, I was stronger than him, huh?
“You’re offended because everything I said was true,” he said, still unyielding. I decided to ignore him, hoping he would stop annoying me soon enough.
“Anyway,” he continued. I heard him get to his feet and brush off his shorts. “Get dressed in your uniform soon. The headmaster has called us for an assembly.”
“I don’t know why I’m even telling you this, but your nerdy friend asked me to inform you. I pity you both, so that’s why I’m helping. I’m quite the good Alpha, right?”
I rolled my eyes and faced him. “An assembly? For what?”
He shrugged. “I don’t know. It’s also my first year here. Probably for the Alpha fest.”
ALEXANDRIAWyat kissed me fervently until my brain stopped functioning properly. His lips were on mine, and every coherent thought inside my head melted into absolute nothingness. Wyatt kissed like he did everything else—intensely. Like he was holding himself back by the thinnest thread possible.A soft sound escaped me before I could stop it. His hand immediately tightened around my waist.Fuck.That small sound seemed to snap something inside me. Wyatt kissed me deeper instantly, his other hand sliding into my hair carefully before tilting my head back slightly. My fingers grabbed onto his shirt without thinking. The cedar scent surrounding him completely swallowed me whole. I couldn’t breathe properly. Couldn’t think properly. “You drive me insane,” he muttered against my lips, mirroring my sentiments. He kissed me again before I could respond. His thumb brushed softly against my jaw while his lips moved against mine slower this time, like he was savoring every second.I could
ALEXANDRIAI stared at Wyatt like he had completely lost his mind. He sounded completely serious about what he just said.Did he even hear himself right now?“The other Alphas?” I repeated incredulously. “Wyatt, I’m literally dressed like a man every time that I’m here.” His eyes flicked down my body slowly.“And not long ago,” I continued quickly, trying to regain control of the conversation before my brain completely melted, “Damon was bullying me in front of everyone.”Wyatt’s expression darkened immediately at Damon’s name.“I don’t think you understand what you’re saying,” I muttered.Suddenly, his hand lifted toward me. My breath caught when his fingers held my chin lightly, his breath hovering above mine. “I want you to be mine,” he said quietly, my mind going in spirals. His thumb brushed softly against my skin while his eyes locked onto mine with intensity.“And only mine.”Heat rushed through my entire body. I was terrified, but much more because Nomea loved it. My wolf
ALEXANDRIA Hearing Wyatt’s story sent chills down my spine, settling deep inside my chest. I stared at him quietly from where I still sat between his legs on the floor, my fingers loosely wrapped around his hand. His bandaged knuckles rested against my palm while silence filled the room again.Ever since I arrived at Alpha Academy, I thought Wyatt was just like every other Alpha here—arrogant, violent, obsessed with power and fame. The type of Alpha everyone feared because they enjoyed being feared. However, I had been so wrong. Wyatt wasn’t fighting because he wanted power. He was fighting to remove that power from the hands of a small minority. The realization made my chest ache unexpectedly.Suddenly, it felt like I understood him better—his tendency to keep everyone at arm’s length. Despite knowing all of that now, I only found myself falling deeper into him. Against my own will and logic. .Wyatt stared at me carefully. His eyes held so much pain inside them, but they were
WYATT The look on Alex’s face destroyed me the moment I came back to my senses. I didn’t think something like that was possible anymore. At least, not everything I’d already seen. I thought there was nothing left in this world capable of making me feel disappointed in myself. But when she looked at me back in that training room, my heart was nearly ripped out of my chest. I could still see it clearly. Her wide eyes. The fear that flashed across her face for one second. The way she stared at me like she didn’t recognize me anymore.Damon deserved worse. After everything he’d done, after all the blood on his hands, I would’ve gladly kept going until he stopped breathing. But then Alex called my name. And I stopped. For her.Only her.The room around us felt too quiet.Alex was still kneeling between my legs on the floor, her fingers loosely wrapped around my injured hand. She looked up at me carefully.“I’m way too deep into this now, Wyatt,” she muttered softly. There was exhaustio
ALEXANDRIA Once Wyatt walked out of the room, the entire chamber fell into silence. For a second, nobody moved. Nobody spoke. The only sound left was Damon’s uneven breathing against the floor.“Shit,” Mr. Ford cursed sharply, breaking the silence in the room. The word echoed through the metal room as he dragged a hand through his hair in frustration.Mr. Ford immediately turned toward James and Chad.“Bring him to the infirmary,” he ordered. “Now.”Neither of them moved at first.Chad stared openly at Damon’s unconscious body with wide eyes while James remained unusually quiet beside him.Eventually, Chad swallowed hard before crouching beside Damon carefully.“Moon Goddess,” he muttered under his breath.Damon looked terrible. One eye was already swelling badly. His lip was split open, and bruises were beginning to darken across his jaw and throat.Despite seeing the entire fight myself, I still couldn’t fully believe Wyatt had done this to him. Damon wasn’t weak. He was far from
ALEXANDRIA Everything happened so fast that all I could do was stand there and watch. The altercation between them didn’t feel like a fight anymore. It felt like a war. The strongest Alpha against the greatest Alpha.A sick crack echoed through the metal chamber as Damon drove Wyatt backward, denting the wall behind him. However, Wyatt retaliated immediately, grabbing Damon by the throat before throwing across the room with terrifying force. I stumbled backward instinctively. My back hit the cold metal wall behind me. The impact jolted through my spine, but I barely felt it.I couldn’t look away. This was the first time I had ever seen Wyatt lose control like this.Even when he was angry, he always seemed perfectly aware of himself. At this moment, he looked terrifying. Meanwhile, Damon was losing his composure, too. Not only that, but he was losing the fight itself. Wyatt slammed another punch directly into Damon’s face.Blood splattered across the floor. Damon staggered before
