FAITH

“If I hadn’t known better, I would think they were fighting over you, Faith,” Sable said, and I watched Kaiden’s back tense. “But the Alpha only wants you for your power. He doesn’t love you. He doesn’t want you.”

“Silence!” Kaiden roared, and Sable let her head hang back as she laughed loudly. The sound bounced off the walls, and I shook my head, still hearing the magic vibrating through it, but I knew she couldn’t do anything to us without seeing or touching us.

“Challenging one of your own pack members over a wolf-less whore?” Sable asked, and heat built behind my eyes as I avoided looking at Kaiden, knowing it was true.

“Sable, you fucked Ryan while he was still my mate and then tried to fuck Kaiden even though he was with me.” I said, not wanting to think about or clarify what ‘with me’ meant because, really, he hadn’t been with me. He had just been fucking me. “Then you were sold off to Victor Cain so he could steal your magic and kill you. Yet, you still don't understa

2-I’m about to sound like a horrible person. I do hope Sable’s baby survives but I don’t want Faith and Kaiden to become its parents. I want Faith to become pregnant soon and have a baby. I’m scared this whole baby storyline is because Faith thinks she can’t get pregnant so I hope she pregnant soon

I’m happy that Faith acknowledged they have so much starting to stack up and they need to talk about. Kaiden even acknowledged his wolf doesn’t like any man’s scent on her. Both of their reactions to things has to make them realize that what is happening between them is more than the blood bond!

FAITHI wasn’t sure if I should stand or sit. My hand moved behind me as if to grab something there to catch myself, but there was nothing but air. Of course, there wasn’t. I hadn’t moved, but from the nervous look on Kaiden’s face, I felt like I should. I felt like I needed to step back and put some distance between us to prepare for what he had to say. There was no chance I would like what was coming, but if I wanted things to get better between us, I at least had to listen to him and take in everything with an open mind.“Once I tell you everything, you have to stay under lockdown until Juliana can shield your mind from being read.” He explained, and I nodded.I hadn’t known that was even possible, and not for the first time, I reached a new level of respect and appreciation for the witch. “Okay,” I whispered, pressing my palms against the sides of my thighs. “There have been one hundred and seventy-one white wolves here since I became Alpha,” Kaiden said, and I coughed as my

KAIDEN“Tell me you found a way to shield her,” I demanded as Juliana sat in the chair across from me on the other side of my desk.Faith’s scent had been all over the room. She had seen everything. The ancient weapons, the map, and the ledger. Gods, when I picked it up, I could smell her fear and stress on it. She must have been really convincing for Will to have believed her when she told him that a nightmare had caused her fear because my office still reeked of it. “I’m on the verge, but I can’t seem to get it quite right,” Juliana said with frustration. “How close are you?” I asked, and she shrugged. “I am not working with a lot of blood. You are asking a lot here. You have me wanting to shield her, but also to figure out how Cain is collecting magic from his mates and with the bond in place…” Juliana said, and I cut her off. “A Binding Blade. He was about to cut Sable’s throat with it.” I said, and her eyes widened. “I thought those had been destroyed!” Juliana gasped with

FAITHI couldn’t stop myself as I chased after him, not caring that I was in the white nightie they had given me when I first arrived and that everyone was seeing me through the thin material. But it did bother me that Kaiden didn’t seem to mind the guards seeing me after he had just fucked me against the door and demanded that I walk around smelling like him for the foreseeable future. Now, he suddenly didn’t care who saw me, and everything about that moment of raw possession only moments ago suddenly felt empty and fake. My heart was hammering in my chest as I chased after him, needing him to slow down and tell me what I could do to fix things. I would get on my knees and beg if he wanted to because he was right. I had crossed the line by snooping in his office.I had known that when I did it, but I did it anyway.“Kaiden, wait!” I called out softly, hoping not to wake anyone or draw more attention than we already had.“Go back to bed, Faith.” He demanded, and I had to fight th

  • Chained By Fate   Ninety-One

FAITHThere was a long, unsettling silence as we both got ready for bed, and I found myself watching him from the corner of my eye. The more he relaxed, the more I regretted not asking him my questions sooner. I couldn't keep sleeping with him and sleeping next to him without knowing the truth. “That meeting you went to, the one that took a week,” I asked as he laid down, and I leaned over, running my finger down the new scar there, hating that he had been hurt and had no way to contact anyone in our pack for backup. “Can you tell me which pack you were visiting?”“That’s not a question I can answer right now. All I can tell you is that they had once been an ally. I went to ask for their support, and they said no. That’s all there is to it.” He said, but his voice was strained. The ceiling fan spun over us, the slight humming filling the room as I felt his stress through our bond. He had hidden it well before, but I could feel that he was really bothered by this. “How badly do we

FAITHI was too stunned to speak and too unsure of what I should even say to that because I didn’t want to say something to make him shut down when he had just called me his. This was the most we had talked about us being together since we started sleeping together. “Okay,” I whispered, feeling his hardness against my thigh as he moved his other hand down my leg, grabbing the back of it before lifting it to his hip. “One of these days,” Kaiden started, and I nodded. It didn’t matter what he was going to say. My answer would be yes. I couldn’t breathe, let alone think when he had me like this. My head fell back against the door as he gently kissed the side of my neck. “I am going to come home, and instead of us arguing, I am going to find you naked on my desk, with your legs spread and your pussy wet and ready for me.” “Gods,” I whispered, able to picture it. That would be preferable. I would take that over fighting or arguing any day unless he wanted a rough, angry fuck. I could
