The Rope Around My Neck

I was not ready to die, not before I have saved Conrad from this curse. My eyes gave up and I began to go into a deep slumber when the pressure against my neck loosened only a bit so that I can breathe a little air.

I instantly started coughing and pushing my body up to sit up on the ground. I was trying to untie the rope from around my neck but my body was still so numb that I could hardly make my hands to work fine.
