I couldn’t answer him and keep quiet. I feel like a child getting caught from sneaking in some candies.
Phoenix beside me smirked. He grabbed my arm and locked it with his. Theon clenched his jaw at the sight, “Why are you holding her hand?”
“Why? Because I want to.” Phoenix cockily replied.
I shook Phoenix’s hand away from me.
“I remember this man..I saw him waiting for you at the clinic…and the both of you are all over the news last night.” Theon said to me.
Phoenix glared at him and turned to me, “Oh, so he’s Theon? You’re boss? Is he the reason why you’ve been avoiding me, Sereia? Because you found someone new?”
Theon took a step to him and looked at him with menace, "Yes. I'm the reason. And I’m courting her.” He then turned to me, “Is he your ex?”
I shook my head. &ldq
“I’m waiting for you to stop me, Sereia. One word from you and I’ll risk it all for you.” I glared at him. Theon then appeared after that and I grabbed his arms, “Let’s go, Theon.” Theon’s lips curved into a smirk at that and he raised his eyebrows at Phoenix mockingly. Phoenix looked at me in disbelief, “You’re choosing him over me?” I glanced at Theon and shook my head, “No, I’m choosing myself.” And with that, I grabbed my bag, held Theon’s hands, and dragged him away from Phoenix. “I knew you would choose me,” Theon commented as we reached his car, his chin held up high proudly. “I’m choosing no one, okay? Stop boasting about it.” I answered back and went to my own red sports car. Hopping on it, we decided that I’ll drive ahead of him, with him trailing behind me. I saw Phoenix standing outside the villa as he watched us drive away. His face was now stoic, and I bit my lip.
I bit my lip, mustering up all the courage, and said,” It’s me, Sereia.” Silence passed for a few minutes before he asked, confused, “Sereia? Why are you calling me?” “I have something important to tell you,” I said. “You have guts for calling me after what you did to our family.” He said, sneering at me. I raised my eyebrows, “Oh, are you going to bully me, Uncle Arthur?” I asked. “Don’t you remember that I am your niece now? I’m going to tell mom and make sure grandpa will hunt you down in your dreams.” I heard him panicking, “Stop! Okay, what do you want?” “Where is Phoenix?” I asked, straight to the point. He paused, “Oh, he didn’t tell you?” “Tell me what?” “He’s already in the US. You called too late. He was waiting for you but you didn’t come for him.” Oh…I muttered a curse under my breath. Well damn. Now what? Hanging up on him, I called another p
SEREIA’S POV I watched as Amari, Hannah’s son, blew on the cake. “Awe isn’t he cute?” Emma said, taking pictures of Amari who had now cake on his face. He licked his lips and cried angrily as he couldn’t reach the rest. I chuckled at the sight. His adorable little arms were now reaching for candies but Hannah stopped him, not wanting her child to have some tooth decay. “Looks like he got you temper, Hannah.” Snow commented from beside me, holding her stomach. She’s going to be delivering next month, and I can't wait to welcome her and my cousin’s child to the world. Hannah’s son has turned two years old today. We are currently hanging out in Eion’s ice cream shop in Springfield in the US as Hannah decided it would be good to celebrate it here. Thank goodness that Hannah invited me to her son's birthday party last week so I bought myself a ticket to stay at my cousin’s place for a few days.
I had a great view of several acres of land. I inhaled the fresh smell of the air, closing my eyes, and embraced provincial life. "You want a snack, my dear?" Lola Nanding said to me. I smiled at her and politely shook my head no. She nodded and went back to cleaning. I’m surprised that she could still walk properly despite her age. She’s really strong. I was just finished washing the clothes and I hung it up. I can’t help but stare at the mango tree planted beside the fence. It had really grown so much that it could bear a lot of mangoes now. I went to it and got a stick to reach the mangoes. When I still couldn’t, I grabbed a chair and some baskets and stood at the chair. One by one, the mangoes fell and I grinned at the sight. When I finished getting five mangoes, I was about to get down from the chair when I saw Phoenix looking at me pointedly. "What are you doing?" I showed him the basket in m
PHOENIX’S POVI inhaled the sweet scent of my wife’s hair. I smiled, still not believing how I’m so lucky. This is my life now. I can’t believe I would wake up with Sereia, the woman of my life. We have been married for years already, but every time I hold her close, it feels new again. Each time we make love, it feels so new, addicting, and thrilling. “Goodmorning babe,” I greeted, seeing her beautiful brown eyes now opened, finally waken up. My member instantly stood up and I licked my lips, kissing her tenderly. “Goodness, it’s too early, Phoenix.”I raised my eyebrows, smirking, “So? What about it, babe?”Sereia giggled, “Aren’t you had enough of me? We’re doing it every day for years now.”I pulled her closer to me, “I won’t get enough of you, my love. Why will I stop when you are finally mine? We have all the time in the world, and we’ll do it every day until I die.”Her crimson cheeks blushed and pushed me away lightly as she broke our kiss, “You’re still the same, Phoenix. S
“There is no way I’ll accept if your son will propose soon!” Those were the exact words that echoed from Aurora’s ears as she always heard her father and her father’s friend, Phoenix when the two talked and argued about their children. And Aurora always knew her father was against her getting friends with Reagan. He always said to her not to get close to Reagan. But Aurora being Aurora was easily swayed by the dazzling smile of Reagan and his mesmerizing brown eyes. He’s had some Filipino blood since her mother Sereia was one and his father Phoenix was half Filipino. He looks exactly like his mom as he took her dark and strong features, which suits him so much…but his attitude from his dad. She took a shower to cleanse away the sweat from her training with her mom earlier and as she was about to sleep, something was amiss. There was a small knocking on her window, which was quite weird since she was on the third floor of the house.Suddenly, she heard someone yelling, “Aurora” from outside and that made her quickly peek at the window, to see her. “Damn you bitch, there’s no way a psychopath like you would sleep this early in the evening!” The person yelled a few minutes of silence after. Aurora cursed under her breath, knowing there is no sane person who would go to someone's house in the middle of the night, cursing and calling her a bitch other than this insane girl. Aurora instantly opened her window to see her clearly. “Dasha! Quiet!” She yelled at her cousin, who was screaming like a madwoman. Dasha Makarov Lange, aka her cousin, was her Aunt Sasha and Uncle Nicolo’s daughter.“Dasha! Quiet!” She yelled at her cousin, who was screaming like a madwoman. Dasha Mak
As soon as she opened the door, what greeted her was an unexpected visitor. She blinked at the man before him, who had this boyish smile, with a suitcase in his hand as he stared at her. “Missed me?” Aurora’s frown instantly turned into a grin and her sadness subsided the moment she realized it. “Felix?” “The one and only.” Felix shrugged, and opened his arms wide, “Now are we just going to stand here and stare, or do you want to hug me?”She chuckled at his comment and instantly jumped into his arms and embraced him. “I missed you!”“I miss me too.” He responded, now ruffling her messy hair. Aurora rolled her eyes at that and broke the hug. “Really, three years and you still haven't changed.” She commented, then looked at his appearance. Felix’s usually dark brown hair and hazel eyes were still there but his pale skin had gotten tanned and she noticed that whenever the sunlight escaped from the windows and hit his skin, it was almost as if it was shining and glowing, her mouth op
