Chapter 22

It takes a while for me to process what Damien said. My head starts to throb and I feel dizzy, needing to rest on the table to keep my weight up.

I feel Lisa come up beside me, her stance worried as she watched me listen to Damien over the phone.

“Jonas said they got in late but she insisted on going out to get some fresh air, she hasn’t been back since then,” Damien continued.

Nathan saw sparks. “Who the hell is Jonas and why are they together?” he barked, his hand tightening around the phone. Lisa reached over and loosening his grip on it with a soothing smile.

“The guy from earlier, the one she came to the resort with,” Damien answered, paused, then continued. “She was going to introduce you too but you left before she could come over and say hi.”

Jonas or whatever his name was called, Nathan decided he despised the guy and was going to snap him into two whenever he was within reach.
