The Game

It's been three fucking days.

Three whole days since Cameron approached Selena about something that isn't connected to their professional relationship.

He doesn't offer to take her to Abigail's High, nor ask her if she wanted to borrow his car anymore.

He did say yes when she said she wanted to borrow his car, but he gave her permission like he doesn't want to, and it annoyed the shit out of her.

She knew that she can't keep on borrowing his car like this because for her, it feels like begging.

And her pride was just too high for that.

Glancing at the library's window, Selena huffed and folded the book that she was reading close.

They had their vacant and her friends at school, Missy and Paige, were in the football field watching their boyfriend's play the specific sport and since Selena wasn't really interested, she decided to just hit the library and read whatever it is that she could find.

At least it's more interesting than watching perverted teenage boys tackle each other in the field.

It may come as a surprise to anyone who doesn't know Selena personally, but she really cared about knowledge.

She may be a troublemaker, but Selena always finds time to learn something new.

It's true, she does hate going to school here.

Unlike the school or the academy that she attends back at her town, this facility that she's at now doesn't prioritize learning.

Some of the teachers does, but the students?

I don't think so.

It's more of whose Ms. and Mr. Popular and what's the latest drama here.

A lot of the students going there doesn't deserve to be called students.

Taking a glance at the clock, Selena saw that it was already three. Not long after seeing the time, the school bell soon followed, signaling everyone that school was over for the week.

Swinging her backpack in her shoulder, Selena returned the books that she was reading a while ago and made her way outside the library.

Just as usual, after school, the hallways were filled with beaming teenagers.

They're all probably happy with the fact that school was over, except for the nerds, of course.

Pushing herself at the crowd, Selena pushed whoever's in her way, hoping that she could get her way out of the school's exit without being quashed to death.

Even though she was feared and respected by everyone, it was hard to spot someone short in a huge crowd, so they all basically forgot about her.

Pushing the last student aside, Selena finally reached the door.

Letting out a breath of relief, she inhaled the fresh air that nature was giving.

It was a beautiful windy afternoon and since Cameron wasn't there to pick her up and she also declined her friend's and Mrs. Thompson's offer of driving her back and forth, she would have to walk back to the coven again.

Selena didn't really mind because it was only a mile or two walk and the things that she would be passing by as she makes her way to the place that she now calls her home, were the splendid works of mother nature.

Selena was in the middle mile of her walk when she saw Cameron's house from the distance on the right side of the road.

She knew that it was his house because of the stalking she did after he brought her back to the coven a week ago.

Selena was curious about him, so instead of going up the third floor and crashing on her room just like what Alpha Gavin and Cameron wanted, she stalked him and followed him home like a creep.

She never really spoke up to anyone about it because she doesn't trust anyone there yet, and she was afraid that they would tell him what she did, which would completely ruin her “I don't give a fuck about you” reputation.

The house was a two-story structure that was just too huge for one person to live alone at.

Shaking the thought aside, she continued walking again when Cameron's door busted open revealing a young woman, probably in her early twenties, leaving the house with a smile on her face.

When she was on the lawn, Cameron walked out of the door and gave the woman something.

She couldn't fully see what it is, but seeing them that close made her mad as hell.

Cameron did glance on her side, and she's sure that he probably saw her.

But instead of approaching, he darted his eyes off of her and gave the woman a kiss in the cheek.

And that's all it took for Selena to lose it all.

Asshole didn't even bother saying hi, she thought to herself

Increasing her pace, she scanned his parking garage unnoticeably, knowing that she still had the key to one of his car.

She's aware that she's thinking like a crazy bitch right now, but she doesn't mind one bit.

I mean — it's quite normal to her.

She does act like a bitch.

 And she is crazy.

Selena knew that she doesn't have any right to tell that woman his with to go fuck another guy and leave Cameron alone in any means.

She's just his student and nothing more.

Well— before her first day of school, they seemed to be really close friends, but maybe she did something that upset him.

She did get in trouble a lot of times inside the Coven, but every time he finds out, he was even laughing.

Aside from the Coven, Selena can't remember where else she got into trouble, except that one time when she skipped class to make out with a high school jock and Cameron saw them.

But why would he even be mad at her anyway?

It's not like he was her father or anything, and she was clearly outside the academy to even concern him to say the least.

The thought that he might be jealous did cross her mind.

But for her, it was just ridiculous.

Why would he be jealous?

As she completely turned around and started to walk in her normal pace again, she started to consider the question.

And there's only one way to find out.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“Sweetie, why aren't you in the dining room having your dinner?” Asked Caitlyn worried, Cameron's mom, when she saw Selena in the academy's hallways wandering around.

That startled the shit out of her.

The last thing that she needed is to be caught as she was planning her vicious plan to make Cameron crazy.

Well— to get his attention, too.

But it's not like Selena's pride would be willing to admit that fact in front of anyone.

She's stealing the vehicle that they used as a gateway car when they got chased by police officers, and she's driving that bad boy all over town as fast as she can tonight

If she doesn't get into a car crash, of course.

“I'm not really hungry Mrs. Thompson,” She reasoned politely.

Selena must have probably told Caitlyn to fuck off for startling her, but she had a lot of respect towards that woman for that.

She and Cameron are literally the only one who cares in here if she slept, ate, or live.

But that's before Cameron started acting like a total douche.

For now— it's basically just Caitlyn that was looking after her.

Alpha Gavin would, but he had other responsibilities, which is understandable.

“Are you certain?” Reassured the woman. “I could bring dinner up to your room if you don't want to go and have dinner with the other students. Forget about Gavin.” She offered, smiling sweetly.

Helping the staff cooking dinner earlier, Selena knew that the students would be having some delicious portions tonight.

Her stomach says yes, but her mind says no.

Her stupid subconscious is reminding her of what could happen if she does pull off her wicked plan accordingly.

“Yes, Ms. Thompson,” Said Selena. “You packed me quite a lot for lunch.” She added totally lying.

Caitlyn did pack her a lot of delicious food, but she didn't even touch any of it because she was too busy thinking about Cameron during their lunch break.

Heck— she didn't even notice that the bell already rang if Paige didn't tug her.

Thinking about it was a big mistake though, and the mention of food makes her stomach uncomfortably ramble.

“Well, if you ever changed your mind, I would be at Gavin's office,” Said Caitlyn. “We're not going home for the weekend, a lot of things have to be done and there's the blood oath next week.” She complained with a groan.

“Really? That's too bad,” Said Selena empathetically.

The woman really deserved a break.

“The blood oath is something to look ahead of though,” She added, even though she didn't really care about the real purpose of the event.

She had this obsession about seeing blood, and that's basically the only reason why she was even going to the event.

“Yeah, you should come,” Invited Caitlyn. “Some of the students are going to be apart of the oath.” She added.

“Oh, I will,” Said Selena, flashing her the cutest smile she could pull off. “I better get going though,” She added, glancing at her watch.

“Oh sure,” Said Mrs. Thompson. “Just get back to your room early, it's dangerous out there during these times.” She added, waving the blonde off as she started to walk away from her.

“I will, thank you!” Hollered Selena as she walked swiftly towards the backdoor of the coven.

It's almost dark, and she literally had a mile and half to walk before reaching Cameron's house.

But it's not like she minded.

The reward that she would be getting after pissing him off is something that she really looked forward to.

After a while, she finally made it to Cameron's house.

The lights in the front porch were on, signaling that he was home.

Grabbing his car keys in the pocket of her jean, she made her way to the kitchen window where she saw him probably preparing dinner.

The girl from earlier was still there, and she was sitting in the kitchen counter, throwing her head back as she laughed about something that he said.

Selena's blood boiled from the sight of it.

Now she knew that her only option is to either keep watching these two and be mad all night long, or steal his beloved car and speed through the town over the speed limit and grab his attention.

And she chose the second option, of course.

She's driving his car.

Rolling her eyes at the scene, she made her way through his car and unlocked the door.

She made sure to slam it shut loudly once she was inside to let him know that she still had his car keys.

As loud footsteps were heard, she's guessing that it worked.

It didn't take him long to finally get out of his house.

“Selena?” Asked Cameron as his eyes widened at the scene in front of him.

He totally forgot about the fact that he hadn't taken the other car key from her.

“What are you doing?!” He asked as realization started to hit on him.

She almost wanted to laugh at his expression, but that urge immediately flew like a balloon when the girl that he was with came out of the house to probably check what the actual hell is going on.

“Just taking this bad boy for a ride,” She Spoke smugly, rolling the window down before starting the ignition. “It's been awhile since I got into trouble and drove him, and let's just say that I missed both.” She added teasingly, making him know that she wanted to piss him off.

He scowled at that.

“Father won't be happy when he finds out about this, little witch,” He threatened. “And you probably don't want to spend another year into the human's school as a punishment.” He added calmly, even though it was obvious that he was furious.

“Touché,” She said. “Why wouldn't I?” She added, raising her eyebrows at him.

“I'm going to kill you,” He said now dead serious.

She smirked at that.

“Well,” She said, turning around the car. “You better catch me!” She hollered, driving slowly towards the road as he watched her with a glare before driving over the speed limit for real.

Cameron was mad as hell, and he knew to himself that he isn't going to let her get away with this one.

Pushing the front door open aggressively, he made his way to the lampshade in the living room and grabbed the key of his black Porsche.

He is so going to teach her a lesson.

“Cameron,” Warned Charlotte, knowing exactly what his cousin is about to do. “She's just a child.” She added as she followed him outside the parking garage.

Yep, you read that right, she's just his cousin.

“Don't worry,” He said with a blank expression as he got into his car. “I will treat her like a child.” He added before following the crazy blonde leaving his cousin all alone.

If she wanted to play with him, he's going to improvise the games for her.
