Chapter Twenty-One

Elora’s POV

The next day, everyone gathered in the pack grounds to witness my uncle’s trial. I could have done this privately inside the council hall but I decided to involve the public with it. Doing this, I was hoping that the council members would not dare to influence the results with their ulterior motives. The more witness to it, the more they would be afraid to cheat.

The pack grounds were full of whispers and murmurs from the crowd. A small podium was built for us involved in the trial and the members of the jury to step on. On my side was the Alpha King, who still didn’t talk to me after the incident last night. Meanwhile, Hunter and the rest of the royal guards were standing not far from us in case some unnecessary fights would commence during the trial.

I heaved a sigh as I waited for my uncle to be dragged out of his cell. And then, the moment of truth came.
