Chapter Twenty-Two

Elora’s POV

As soon as the tip of the torch touched the stack of woods, the blazing fire crawled toward Uncle Lucian. Werewolves were extremely scared of fire so his death had a big significance. He suffered the most horrifying and painful death, a fitting end to his life of crimes. I can now sleep soundly at night, for the person who destroyed my life was no longer breathing. Finally, I was safe, we are all safe from his wickedness.

We all heard his shouts of pain until moments later, it was no more. His flesh melted like butter, with his bones exposed to the light afterward. It took around an hour before his body was turned to ashes.

It was over. My uncle Lucian was dead.
