Chapter Eighty-Three
Nikolas left to go to the bedroom and wait for her but with Kathy around, Brooklyn refrained from following him. Kathy would surely be all ears after the stunt Nikolas pulled at the dining table. Acutely aware of all the little hints that Nikolas had been throwing at her ever since the things cleared up between them, Brooklyn knew exactly what he had planned for her.
“Do you need help with anything?” Asked Brooklyn. Kathy smiled at her.
“The laundry is done. You could take them to your room, Brooklyn,” said Kathy. Her hands were already full and Brooklyn was glad to be able to help her.
“I’ll get them. I’ll help you with dinner. Just call me, okay?” asked Brooklyn.
