Brooklyn was shocked by the roots of her hair. With the kind of mood he was in, she just couldn’t comprehend whether he was teasing her or seriously asking her to be his girlfriend. She sat beside him but he wanted her closer. 

“I want you here, in my arms, close to my heart,” he said when she went an inch closer at his insistence.
