I could hear my heartbeat pounding in my ears, everything seemed to slow down and Shana's screams became deep and dragged out. I knew I had to do something but I had no idea what. I’d managed to fall asleep somehow. How I did with all that anxiety and embarrassment running through me, I don’t know. When I finally awoke the sun was rising in the sky. I could smell the morning dew and hear the birds chattering outside. Their songs were sweet, some what enthusiastic and it bought a smile to my face. But the smile was short lived.
