Sienna’s POV
The soft chime of the elevator echoed as the metal doors slid open and I stepped out with a deep exhale before walking into the office space I shared with my team. I was still recovering from the embarrassment of earlier. How could I have been so stupid, to allow my emotions blind and lead me into hugging Roman? I would never forget the stunned look on his face when I hugged him for what seemed like an entire minute. After I had recovered and come back to my senses, I had been so embarrassed and apologized, blaming it on how stressful the day had been. Stress? I was almost laughing at myself now. How dumb and ridiculous! Couldn’t I have come up with a better excuse? Thankfully, Roman had brushed it off and given me a lift to the company as agreed. However, I had asked him not to walk me inside. I wasn’t sure what to expect from my colleagues when they saw me with Roman. They would probably spread more gossip about me and accuse me of sleeping with my so-called sister’s husband. As I walked into my office space, a small frown crossed my forehead as I took in the sight of the empty rows of desks and vacant chairs. Usually, at this time of the morning, the space buzzed with the hum of phone calls, the clatter of keyboards, and the chatter of my co-workers. So, why was it oddly quiet today? Where was everyone? Was there supposed to be some sort of break that I wasn’t informed about? My eyes scanned the offices again, but there was nobody in sight. I gulped, feeling my heart race. In for another round of trouble, are we? The sudden sound of footsteps behind me almost made me jump out of my skin and I spun around at once to see Ms. Helen, the elderly cleaner, mopping the floor near the entrance. Breathing in a huge sigh of relief, I approached her, planting a small polite smile on my face once I reached her. “Good morning, Ms. Helen.” “Good morning, Miss. Blake.” She lifted her gaze to meet mine, a small warm smile crossing her face too. “You’re quite late today.” “Yeah. Yeah. Something came up.” I rubbed my fingers over my temple and let out a small, nervous chuckle. “I’m curious, though. Where’s everyone? It’s too quiet.” “They’re having a staff meeting in the boardroom.” She replied to me, gesturing her chin towards the hallway. My heart dropped to my stomach and it took all the self restraint I had left in me not to pull out my hairs. A staff meeting? Today of all days?! “Thanks, Ms. Helen.” I thanked her anyway and quickly headed towards my space, dropping my handbag and the shopping bag on my desk. Then quickly, I hurried down the hallway, hearing my heart pound heavily with every step that I took. Why was this happening to me? Today was supposed to be my best day as it was Livvy's birthday. But it seemed like the heavens weren’t in favour of me today. Once I reached the large double doors of the boardroom, I inhaled deeply and reached for the doorknob. My nerves prickled at my skin as my fingers hovered over the handle. I bit my bottom lip, trying so hard to keep my nerves in check. “Don’t panic, Sienna.” I reassured myself, finding it difficult to even believe my own words. “Just walk in quietly, sit down and blend in. Everything will be fine.” Easier said than done. Exhaling deeply through my mouth, I pushed the door open slowly and peered inside. Everyone was seated on the long conference table, focused on the man talking before them. I shifted my eyes to the man in question and holy shit, was he smoking hot and good looking! He was dressed in a navy blue suit that fit like it had just been made specially for him. He was tall and had a sexy, muscular build. His sharp jawline was clean shaven and he had a strong aura around him that screamed an air of control. He was handsome. Stunning. Almost like Roman. But not really close to Roman’s handsomeness. I slapped myself mentally. Stop thinking about Roman already and move on! I listened as the handsome man continued his speech, unaware that I was there. “…and as I said, I will be overseeing operations at this branch for the next quarter. I expect full cooperation from every department as we push for better results.” My heart gave a jolt and I blinked as I diluted the information. Then, my gaze shifted to the large screen behind him which had a name displayed in bold, white letters. Ethan Crawford. President & Chief Executive Officer, GBC Network My stomach did a wild flip. President and CEO of our TV network? Fuck! This was definitely not a good day to be late. Carefully, I edged towards an empty chair near the side of the table as if I was walking in glass. Slowly. Carefully. Quietly. Almost there. Just a few steps left. I released a small sigh of relief as I finally reached the chair and carefully sat on it with a small self satisfactory smile playing on my lips. But the smile wiped off as soon as it appeared on my face. The sudden high pitched screeching sound of the metal legs of my chair scraping against the tile floor as soon as I sat on it, interrupted the moment at once and drew everyone’s attention to me. Including that of Mr. Ethan Crawford. All heads turned towards my direction, every pair of eyes in the room now locked to mine. I felt a hot wave of embarrassment rush through my face that instant and I couldn’t imagine how visibly reddened my face would be looking like this instant. I forced a dry lump down my throat, locking my gaze with Mr. Ethan Crawford. He didn’t look quite mad. Instead, his facial expression was unreadable and cool, so it was hard to decipher what thoughts could be running through his mind. Oh god. What if he fires me this instant?! That would be the end of me. “S…sorry.” I stuttered, feeling completely hopeless. “You!” The angry voice of a woman suddenly thundered across the room, almost causing my heart to jump out of my mouth. I averted my gaze to the direction of the voice. It was a young woman, seated next to the head seat. And although she was strikingly beautiful with short glossy blonde hair, her lips were curled back into a snarl as her eyes bore into me like lasers. Her perfectly polished nails gripped the edge of the table so hard that her knuckles were almost turning white. I blinked in confusion, glancing around to confirm if she was really referring to me. But with her eyes staring daggers at me, it was obvious that I was the one. But why? Was she this angry at me because of my lateness and interrupting the meeting? “Sabrina Pierce, you treacherous little bitch!” She barked at me again and before I could comprehend her words, she lurched at me, grabbing my hair and pushing me out of my chair to the hard tiles.Julian’s POVThe low hum of my car’s engine faded as I rolled to a stop in front of Roman’s mansion. As I stepped out of the car, Riley’s voice came from the backseat in a playful squeal.“Uncle Julian! Don’t forget me!”“Oops.” I grinned, turning around to open the door for her. “I almost forgot. Or maybe, I was thinking of leaving you behind.”“No, you wouldn’t! You love me!” She shit back with a giggle as she squirmed in her seat, her curly hair bouncing around her small face. “Of course, I love you, princess.”Laughing, I scooped her out of her seat with ease and hoisted her into my shoulder as I stride towards the mansion’s double door. Riley let out a delighted squeal and kicked her feet playfully into the air. “Put me down, Uncle Julian! Put me down!”“I can’t hear you from all the way down here.” I teased her and we both laughed as I walked past the foyer and stepped into the living room where Sabrina was seated on one of the couches like a queen, wearing a shimmery silk blu
Sienna’s POV“I am so, so sorry, Sienna.” Candice, the woman who had almost beaten me to a pulp back at the boardroom, apologized to me for the hundredth time with eyes heavy with guilt. “I swear, I had no idea you were a twin. I really thought you were your sister.”It was the end of work hours and we were both seated in a small, cozy restaurant. On the table before us was a plate of barely touched Creamy pasta Alfredo for me and another plate of grilled chicken Caesar for Candice. Candice had insisted on taking me out for a treat in order to make it up to me, even though I had also insisted that I was fine and there was no need for that. “It’s fine, ma’am.” I sent her a small, reassuring smile, my hand moving subconsciously to my bandaged arm, courtesy of Candice. It was still throbbing with a dull ache. It made me wonder how strong she was, to be capable of such punches. If not for the timely intervention of Mr. Ethan, who I got to learn was Candice’s older brother, and a few peo
Sienna’s POVIt was finally the day of Livvy’s school’s math competition. I was seated in the middle of the second row among other parents in the school hall. My hands were clasped tightly together as my heart drummed in my chest. My eyes were locked on Livvy on the stage with her team and the competing team. I could feel the collective breath-hold of the room as the competition judge announced the result of the competition.“After a close and impressive display of teamwork and problem solving, the winning team of this year’s Junior Math Masters Competition is…”The pause hung in the air. From where I was seated, I could see Livvy holding her breath on stage.“Team Phoenix!”The hall erupted with thunderous applause and Livvy jumped happily on stage. That’s when it registered to me. Team Phoenix was Livvy’s team which she was leading. My heart soared and I rose up from my seat as I beamed and cheered at the stage.“Yes! Yes! That’s my girl!”On stage, Livvy’s wide eyes blinked and he
Sienna’s POVThankfully, I didn’t run late for work today and a few minutes later, I was seated on my desk with my eyes focused on the screen in front of me as I typed away at the keyboard while shifting through the mountain of emails. I hated that I had to attend to petty jobs like this at the company. Back in Minnesota, I worked as the talent manager. And that was until Wendy had released edited footage of me getting involved with one of the board managers, causing me to be transferred and my position denoted. From what I had heard, she had taken over my role in the company after I was transferred. It was obvious that that was the reason she had implicated me. Someday, her karma will catch up with her and I will have the last laugh.I was pulled out of my thoughts when the sound of a brown paper bag thudding on my desk almost made me jump out of my skin. The rich and savory aroma of the food hit my senses and I glanced up to be greeted by the sight of Candice standing in front of
Sienna’s POVTwo days later, I was seated in the airport lounge, my fingers lightly grazing the glossy pages of the campaign brief that was resting in my lap. I had already read the brief thrice, but my mind wouldn’t stop circling around the same thought. Why me? Of all people, why did Roman choose to work with me? From what Ethan had told me, Roman had been adamant about hiring me for the job, insisting that if it wasn’t me, he would pick someone else from another company. What made him feel like he could entrust such a groundbreaking campaign into my hands? Not like I wasn’t capable. It just felt so… surreal. At first, the thought of turning down the offer crossed my mind. Because let’s be honest, no one would want to work in close proximity with their husband whom they are very much in love with, but who can no longer remember them because they had lost their memory and now, he had ended up with someone else. The heartache was something else. But I had to convince myself to t
Sienna’s POVThat evening, I stood under the cascade of the rainfall shower head of the luxury bathroom, letting the warm water soak every inch of my body and smelling the calming scent of my lavender body wash.Letting my hair fall back, I smiled as I enjoyed the water rushing down my skin. Tonight, I planned to pamper myself as I prepared for the heavy workload of tomorrow. I planned to slip into my lingerie after this shower and fulfill my growing horniness by making use of my sex toys as I watched a good, spicy TV series while sipping red wine.Which should I make use of, though? My vibrator of ecstasy or my faithful dildo?Fuck it. Why do I have to choose when I can have the both of them? I’d use them both at the same time. I felt my pussy clench at the thought of the sensation. God! It had been eight full years that I had been without a man’s touch. Thankfully, my sex toys were always at my beck and call whenever I needed them. But sometimes, I yearned to feel the touch of a r
Roman’s POVAfter breakfast, I gave my assistant; Harper, instructions to gather everyone in the conference room for a pre-shoot meeting.Sitting on the center chair at the table, I listened and observed quietly to Harper’s prep talk. This was about to be our biggest marketing campaign since three years ago, and I wasn’t going to let it flop even the slightest bit.“This campaign is all about blending luxury with an effortless sense of escape.” Harper began, gesturing to the large, polished screen that displayed a mood board filled with vibrant images of sun-kissed cliffs, sleek yachts, hot models, and luxurious villas. “Think high-end, but relaxed. Sophistication with a touch of wanderlust. We want people to look at this and dream about escaping to the high life that Montgomery represents.”My gaze shifted to Sienna who was seated close to an aggressively gum-chewing red haired model. Unlike the model, Sienna was seated calmly, her attention carried away by Harper.“We’ve got a tigh
Sienna’s POV“Good morning, from Ibiza, where dreams become reality. I am here with the Montgomery Holdings, capturing an exclusive first look of their game changing rebrand. Luxury, freedom and power? It’s all here!”I walked past the media woman who was covering the event, my eye’s literally everywhere and my head on fire. There was just so much going on that I needed to keep keen eyes on.And even thought it felt overwhelming in a way, I loved it here. And I planned to make it my biggest comeback yet.My eyes caught the stylist fumbling restlessly with a model’s scarf. Catching on to the flaw, I hurried over to her.“No, no, no, Leila.” I called out, once I reached them. I had learned her name earlier for the sake of work familiarly. “The scarf isn't flowing right. Angle it to the left. It needs to look effortless, not forced.”Leila nodded and her assistant adjusted the scarf. I gave Leila an approving smile before heading to check on the photographer who was crouched behind the l
SIENNATHE NEXT DAYI rang the doorbell to Candice’s apartment and stepped back, waiting. She hadn’t shown up at work today, and I wasn’t surprised. Not after what happened yesterday with Julian and Sabrina. That was why I came straight here after work, to check on her. I knew she wouldn’t be doing okay after all the messy events of yesterday.Honestly, who would be?I waited a bit, then rang the bell again. And again. I was about to press it a fourth time when the door finally opened slowly from the inside.Candice’s blank face came up in front of me. She wasn’t crying, but the dark circles under her eyes said enough. Her hair was messy, like she hadn’t moved from bed all day. Like she had been crying on and off, sleeping in between.Seeing her like this made my chest tighten with anger. How could Julian and Sabrina hurt her like this? Especially Julian. I hoped to confront him when I got back to the mansion from here.“Hey.” She said softly. Her voice was low and dry, as if she hadn
ROMAN“Thank you so much for coming, Mr. Montgomery. It was a pleasure having you here.” One of the summit organizers said, shaking my hand. Another followed, doing the same. After a long and exhausting day, the business summit had finally ended, and I couldn’t wait to leave the building and head home to rest.Soon, we were finally left alone and it was just me and Harper. We walked side by side toward the elevator.“I really hope my mom made one of her usual home cooked dinners,” Harper said with a sigh as we entered the elevator and waited. He rubbed his stomach. “I’m starving.”I glanced at him and shook my head. “You really have no shame. Still a mama’s boy at your big age.”“Proudly,” he replied with a grin, then asked, “Have you heard from Miss Blake? I’ve been trying to reach her, but she’s been busy.”The mention of Sienna made my chest tighten. My heart started to race like it always did when I thought about her. She had been too busy with Ethan Crawford lately to even noti
CANDICEI stood frozen, my heart pounding so fast I could hear it in my ears. It felt like my whole world had just flipped upside down. I couldn’t take my eyes off what I was seeing. Sabrina on top of Julian, both of them lost in their moment, completely unaware that Sienna and I had walked in.I blinked slowly, trying to make sense of it. A part of me had always felt something was off with Julian. I even thought he might be seeing someone else. But never in a million years did I imagine it would be Sabrina.Julian was the first to notice us. His eyes widened in shock when he saw me standing there with Sienna behind me. In an instant, he pushed Sabrina off him, and she fell to the side of the bed. A sharp gasp escaped her lips as she finally noticed us too and she quickly grabbed the blanket and pulled it over herself.“Candice… shit,” Julian muttered, breathing hard as he scrambled to put on his pants under the blanket. Behind me, Sienna gently reached for my hand.“Let’s go, Candi
SIENNA“What the hell…” Candice whispered behind me.I quickly stepped away from her, my eyes wide with tears and my heart pounding so hard I could feel it in my ears. I tried to hide the contents of the package behind my back, even though it was pointless. She had already seen everything.Gone was the happy, smiling Candice from earlier. Now, her face was frozen in shock and confusion.Without saying a word, she stepped closer and took the photos right from my hand before I could stop her.I stood there helpless, frozen, as her eyes scanned through each picture with growing panic. My legs gave way, and I slid down to the floor, crouching against the wall as my whole body started to shake.“What is this, Sienna?” Candice asked in a soft, shaky voice. “What are you hiding from me? What are these pictures?”I opened my mouth to answer, but nothing came out. Just sobs. My chest tightened, and I broke down, crying.I shut my eyes, begging in my heart that this was just a nightmare. That
SIENNA"Miss Blake? Are you with us?"Ethan’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I blinked quickly, suddenly aware of where I was. My face flushed with embarrassment as I sat up straighter. We were in the middle of a meeting and once again, my mind had drifted to Emilia and Sabrina. It had been happening since yesterday, like I couldn’t stop replaying everything in my head.“Y-Yeah… I’m here.” I replied quietly.Ethan looked at me for a moment, his eyes filled with concern. He didn’t say anything at first, just let out a soft sigh.“Well then, that’s all for today,” he finally said. “You may all return to your work.”I let out a silent breath of relief, quickly gathering my notebook and pen. I stood up and headed out of the room in a rush before Ethan could pull me aside. I could already feel him thinking about it.Just as I was about to relax, I heard Candice’s voice behind me, followed by the clicking of her heels.“Sienna! Wait up!”I stopped, forcing a smile onto my face before
SIENNAEarly the next morning, Ethan dropped Livvy and me off at Roman’s mansion. I had to get Livvy ready for school and send her off before getting myself ready for work too.But after everything that happened last night, I hadn’t slept at all. My mind wouldn’t let me rest. Every time I closed my eyes, flashes of Emilia’s lifeless body came rushing back. Then I saw Sabrina’s tear-streaked face and her blood-covered hands. Then it was both of us, standing at the edge of the bridge, throwing Emilia’s body into the river. The last nightmare that jerked me fully awake was the image of both Sabrina and Emilia, drenched in blood, chasing after me until I fell off the bridge. I woke up before I hit the water. So when I got up this morning, my eyes were puffy and my face looked tired. Luckily, Ethan didn’t seem to notice much as he drove us back. He stopped the car in front of the mansion, and I got out with Livvy.“Goodbye, Mr. Ethan! We had such a lovely time with you!” Livvy waved brigh
SIENNASabrina had two jackets in the backseat of her car, which we threw on, to cover the bloodstains on our clothes. Once we looked a little less suspicious, we drove to a nearby bar. Sabrina had picked it on purpose because it was busy and loud, the kind of place where no one would notice two women acting a little off. More importantly, they had restrooms we could use to clean ourselves up before heading to our separate destinations— Sabrina to her mansion, and me back to Ethan’s place.Luckily, the plan worked. We walked in without anyone giving us a second glance. No stares, no questions. We made our way straight to the bathroom and began scrubbing the blood off our skin and clothes. We didn’t get everything off, but at least the worst of it was gone. Still, we couldn’t risk going back like this. Someone was bound to notice the mess we still carried on our clothes, on our faces, and in our eyes.We thought about stopping at a boutique to buy new outfits. But just as we were abou
Sienna’s POVDriving around with a dead body in the trunk of your car isn’t exactly what two well-dressed women are expected to be doing on a night when they were supposed to be on separate dinner dates. But somehow, that’s where Sabrina and I found ourselves tonight. And to make things worse, the body belonged to none other than our own mother.Sabrina was still in shock, too numb to even move properly, so I ended up behind the wheel of her car. I prayed the entire time that we wouldn’t run into any cops. Thankfully, the roads were quiet, and we drove smoothly. My hands were shaking on the steering wheel, but I tried hard to stay calm and look like I had it together. Thanks to the countless crime shows I’ve watched and mystery novels I’ve read, I had a rough idea of how people got rid of bodies. Even though I never imagined I would be doing something like this in real life. But I couldn’t leave Sabrina to deal with this on her own. No matter how messed up she was, she was still my s
Sienna’s POVAfter leaving Ethan’s place, I had booked a cab to the restaurant where Julian had asked me to meet him. When I arrived and stepped out of the cab, I was just about to head inside when I caught sight of two figures in a nearby dark alley. They looked familiar, and they seemed to be arguing.I slowed down, my eyes fixed on them, trying to figure out why they looked so familiar. But the alley was dimly lit, and I couldn’t see their faces clearly.Just then, my phone buzzed in my pocket. It was Julian calling.“Where are you?” he asked as soon as I answered. He sounded impatient and his tone carried that sense of urgency that his text message had carried. “I’m sorry,” I said quickly. “I just got here. I’m heading in now.”I slipped my phone back into my pocket and took a step toward the restaurant, but I couldn’t help glancing back at the alley. The argument between the two figures had gotten more heated. It almost looked like a physical fight now. That was when I noticed s
