ROMAN

“I… I saw the woman who took her that day.”

I froze, her words striking me like lightning. Slowly, I turned to look down at her. She was still on her knees, her body shaking, tears running down her face.

My heart felt like it stopped. “Who was it?”

She swallowed hard. “She… she wore a floral dress. Her hair was long and dark, and… and…”

“And what?” I snapped, feeling my patience slipping.

“She looked just like your wife, sir.”

I stopped breathing. My whole body went cold.

Sabrina. It was that bitch.

Could it be…. could our missing daughter actually be Riley?

No. Riley was adopted when she was already a year old. It couldn’t be her. Right?

“What did you just say?” A voice came from behind me. Weak and shaky.

I turned.

Sienna stood there, frozen in place. Her face was pale, her eyes wide and shiny with unshed tears.

“Sienna…” I breathed.

She walked toward us fast, anger rising in her eyes. She looked down at the nurse on the floor, her whole body trembling.

SIENNAThe very next morning, we caught the first plane back to New York City. As soon as we arrived, we didn’t waste a second and headed straight to Roman’s mansion.I kept my anger bottled up the entire time. I was burning to see Sabrina. Burning to claw her eyes out with my nails, and make her pay for everything she’d done.To think that this witch didn’t only cause Roman’s accident and pretend to be me, she stole my baby too!My baby. And that baby… was Riley? How had I not known? How did I miss something so important? We’d all lived under the same roof, and I never once suspected a thing. But now that I was thinking about it, I realized the painful truth.I had never looked closely at Riley. I had never truly ‘seen’ her. Livvy had Roman’s face. That was easy to see. But Riley had my eyes. How could I have missed that?Tears stung my eyes again. I wanted to slap myself, hard. Again and again. I was the worst mother ever. I didn’t deserve either of them—Livvy or Riley.“Welcome bac

  • Chased by my Billionaire Ex-Husband    Secrets Behind the White Walls

ROMANSienna and I sat side by side in the doctor’s office. I held her hand in mine, gently squeezing it on my lap as we watched the doctor flipping through a thick stack of files on his desk. Neither of us said a word. We just sat there, tense, holding our breath, and waiting. Finally, after what felt like forever, the doctor stopped and let out a soft sigh. He moved most of the files aside and opened a single one in front of us—the one with our names on it.He cleared his throat and began, “Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery… all birth records in this hospital are kept carefully and securely. According to the record in front of me, you delivered a single baby seven years ago. Not twins, as you believe.”He slid the file closer, letting us glance through it ourselves.I stared at the paper but shook my head slowly. It just didn’t make sense. Unless the memories I’d gotten back weren’t mine, I knew what I remembered. I remembered holding both our babies in my arms. Twins. Not one.No matter what

SABRINA“It’s been confirmed, ma’am. Mr. Montgomery is in Detroit with your sister. He’s also regained his memories.”My throat tightened instantly and my hand began to tremble. I clasped it with the other to stop the shaking. I forced a small, polite smile as if the person on the line could somehow see through the phone.“Thank you, Oliver.” I said quietly and ended the call. The moment the phone dropped from my ear, the smile vanished from my face.Tears filled my eyes as a sharp, familiar pain shot through my chest. My heart felt like it cracked right down the middle. I sucked in a shaky breath, but it was no use. The ache had already settled in.Roman had gotten his memories back. And it was because of Sienna.I could already see it in my head—Roman, Sienna, and Livvy. Sitting around a dinner table. Laughing. Planning their future. Reuniting like one perfect, happy family.“Arghhhh!” I screamed, grabbing the small table beside me and shoving it with all my strength. It toppled ove

ROMANThe first thing I noticed as I slowly opened my eyes was the sharp smell of antiseptic and the soft humming sound of machines. The walls around me were white, clean, and unfamiliar. A hospital room.A dull pain throbbed in my head, and I groaned quietly as the bright ceiling lights stung my eyes.“Roman?”Sienna’s voice broke through the fog in my mind, and the door creaked open at the same time. Sienna stood there, her eyes wide with shock, then quickly filling with tears. She rushed to my bedside, placing her hands on my face, then my shoulders, checking me like she needed to be sure I was real.“Oh my God… Roman. You’re awake.” She whispered, a tear rolling down her cheek.I stared up at her as she touched me, her fingers shaking, her eyes full of raw emotion. Then, it all hit me. Every memory, every single moment we had shared since the first time I set eyes on her nine years ago. The first time our eyes met and something in my chest shifted. Her beautiful sapphire eyes tha

  • Chased by my Billionaire Ex-Husband    Ethan’s Redemption

ETHANAfter a long night of drinking and feeling like crap, I finally dragged myself out of bed the next morning. My head was pounding and my mouth was dry as hell. I needed water. As I headed to the kitchen, I saw Theresa standing at the counter, chopping vegetables. Something was sizzling on the stove, filling the air with a comforting smell.I stopped for a moment at the door, jaw clenched, then walked in without a word. She looked up briefly as I opened the fridge, grabbed a cold bottle of water, and downed it in one go. It barely helped with the hangover, but it was better than nothing.I wiped my mouth and glanced at her.“Why are you still here?” I asked flatly as I sat at the kitchen table. She didn’t even look at me. “Why would I leave?” She replied, voice calm but harsh. “I’d be heartless to walk away while you're still like this. And besides, I’m here because Candice asked me to stay. Not you.”I ran my hand over my aching forehead, leaning my elbows on the table.“Huh.”
